    Managed another nsd today.

Froze some of my excess runner beans ready for the winter.

picked some more tomates, sweetcorn and yes more runner beans at the old allottment.

Cleared some more of the new allotment. Rescued some strawberry plants and rasberry canes from the long grass and replanted in new beds. Don't know if they will survive but fingers crossed :)

Haven't updated the diary for a few days.

Monday went well with another NSD and spent the evening at the allotment. Have decided to rearrange the beds that I have already put in, to two long beds either side of a single path. This is to maximise the growning space.

Had Tuesday off work, as the vet came to see my welsh D, so I went over to where her loaner keeps her. She had her vacs and microchip put in. Then she had the dentist and poor thing had to have her wolf teeth taken out TOTAL £179 :( but a happier pony :)

Popped into the garden centre as I was over that way :D and got some more, much needed, gardening gloves, weedkiller for the last of the overgrown areas of the allottment and 3 packets of green manure seed for the winter TOTAL £18. Then nipped over to the fencing store as it was also close by :D and bought some fence posts for the allotment TOTAL £64. Am going to put a dog proof fence round it to stop doglet running off after the foxes and the poor chap further up, on his moped:o. Will pick up fencing and posts on Saturday.

Woke up several times in the night as my neck was hurting me again, due to sleeping on the sofa bed. Was in agony all day today and had to buy some ibruprofen in tablet form and gel to get through work( £5). Also British Gas came out this morning to service boiler and give me a qoute to have a thermostate installed (£free). (the service not the thermostate unfortunately!) Bought a carbonmonoxide alarm from them aswell - will be £27 when they invoice me, but better safe than sorry I guess! Went into Iceland on the way home from work to get pizza and chips for dinner as back was hurting too much to stand and cook!

So after all that spending tomorrow is going to have to be a NSD day :o

  • hi yes i'm OK Lucielle - thank you. Have just been extra busy in August and have got really bad back ache from sleeping on the sofa for 7 weeks, which makes it painfull to go on the laptop at home and when I did try I couldn't get onto the internet! Have been too busy at work to sneak on here too :(

All over now tho - students went back home on Sunday and I have got a bed back and the diet began!! Started at 12 stone 10 1/2 on Sunday and already down to 12 stone 7 :D

Have stopped drinking tea and coffee and am drinking lots of water to keep the hunger pangs down. Have also been abit naughty and stopped eating breakfast. Dinner and supper are leftover frozen meals from when the students were here, so in ready made portions :D.

Made a big decision(for me anyway) and decided to give up the riding lessons until I have lost 3 stone and am alot fitter as I felt I was wasting my money. The result is I have just paid for gymophobics membership for a year. Although it was alot of money £285 I now get to got to the gym for half an hour everyday on the way home from work for the same price as 9 riding lessons would of cost me inc the petrol to get there.

Did the induction yesterday and they gave me some excercises to do to strengthen my back and stomach muscles. It is really easy you just go on 10 machines for 3 mins each and they work different sets of muscles - no thinking involved, which is good for me! And it is a womens only gym with no mirrors - perfect! I also have to walk past it every day on the way home from work so no excuses not to go!

so am going into Sept Very positive :D

Have done my budget for Sept last night and put the savings into the pots as planned aswell. Have yet to phone the Waterbaord tho to pay off my first debt.. a job for tomorrow I think. I had better get back to work now....

Good plans TC, new month and fresh start. My horse time has been sadly lacking, I think it helps me mentally as well. Not sure when I'll next get a lesson in as we are going to get DD1 a maths tutor, who will probably be used for the other 2.

Thanks L, winters on its way so who wants to go horse riding anyway ? Or thats what I keep telling myself:) Am looking forward to the first horse free winter in 8 years! Do you remember those early freezing cold dark mornings trying to get the car through the snow to feed the horses before work? Ugh! Can't believe I used to do that for fun:rotfl:.

DS overslept and banked on my door at a quarter to six this morning as he wasn't going to make work in time, so I got my weekly shopping done when I dropped him off at $sd$, popped up to the allotment and walked the dog by 8am:D (am trying not to eat brekie so have to keep busy!)

Colleague at work has recommended putting my green tomatoes in a box with a ripe banana to make them go red, so will pick one up on the way home to see if it works.

The gym is above the supermarket and I am booked in there after work too:D

now to update my signiture with my shopping...

You really should eat brekkie you know. Where's a pointy, waggy finger when you need one?

    Flying visit ....

Broadband is caput at home - Virgin are coming out Wed to look at it so have to book the morning off.

Rushed across the road on Sat and tore my calf muscle again!!! OOWCH! (actually that isn't what I said but I'm sure you get the jist!)

Decided to confront my boss regarding the financial situation at work as we are at the end of our peak period but not alot of cash in the kitty. Basically he is going to make some people redundant today and cut others wages. He is going to cut mine by about 45% and pay the balance out of his own pocket for 2 months (probably just came up with that last bit as I had just said I couldn't afford to take a pay cut and I'm now working on the year end!):eek:

am glad I hadn't paid any of the debts yet as it looks like I might be needing that to cover the mortgage!

On the bright side am losing weight now down to 12 st 6 3/4 lb (love that my scales record 1/4 lbs!!) and the gym is going well :):)(without using my calf muscle!)

Isn't life a roller coaster sometimes!
