So it was weigh in Wed yesterday and I lost 3lb! just thought I would say :j
did a bit of spending to celebrate and bought a new cookbook for £4.95 and because it was our taster evening to raise money for Macmillan I spent a bit more on the food and bought some raffle tickets.
Will do the final sums for this month at the weekend as it is payday tomorrow!:T
Lucielle - Yes I must do some eBaying as have a few bits to sell, mainly stuff from the horse I sold. I am concentrating on keeping up with the account this month though as I am time poor and not very good at doing it!
Selling is my project for next month along with ways of saving on food, which will also give me some extra for the CC.
We will only use the fireplace this year if it doesn't cost too much to set up. My friend had a wood burner installed, and we would like one, but it cost her £2k and I am trying to put the breaks on the funds draining out of the house savings funds as the boiler and roof will need doing within a couple of years. Iw ill see what the chimney sweep says when I can finally get access to the fireplace!
Am taking TOIL this afternoon as it is such alovely day and going to tidy up the allotment

Final figures for the months accounts I was £16 over on the food budget. I feel a bit ashamed
as the budget was £216 for food for me and the dog and cleaning stuff. Have been going on Feed your family for £20 a week and feel sure I can spend less this month, even though I am doing SW! On the good side I didn't go into my overdraft for the first time in months and have actually saved for upcoming expenses.:D
First step on cutting the food costs I have ordered a £65 meat order from Musclefood a special offer through FYF20 who base their meals on them. OH will share half the cost. Am a bit sceptical about ordering meet from the internet but fingers crossed.:)
Other good news is the freezer in the new kitchen is now up and running so I can batch cook and freeze meals for the week. SW Minestrone and sausage Soup I made today for my weekday lunches.:T
I have also been offered another half a plot at the lottie so will have a whole one next year. Good news as I am aiming to grow even more of our veggies next year. Feeling motivated I have spent 3 hours a day or the past 3 days digging my existing plot over in readiness for putting winter onions and garlic in. Muscles are feeling a bit sore this evening!:D
On the down side we went out to dinner with DS this afternoon to meet his new girlfriend. We agreed to share the cost 50:50 before hand. He had offered to pay for all of us but I knew he couldn't really afford it so insisted we pay half. Still the £68 I paid has blown my whole entertainment budget this month and what was left of Septembers!:( Still we had a good time and the new girlfriend is lovely.
Payday was Friday and I distributed all the funds to their 'piggy banks' straight away with an extra £247 to the unallocated fund as I did a few extra payrolls this month. this fund has been earmarked for the CC which I want to pay off by Feb when the 0% ends.
Better be off to bed, OH has gone up and I'm up early in the morning to do the ponio.Debt at LBM 2010 £40,640.17. Debt Free 2017 Debt 2023 £24k I didn't learn! Debt now £7,600. NEW Goal Debt free by 20270 -
Oh and I nearly forgot, progress I have now put all the handles on the kitchen doors! Took ages as they were not pre drilled
holes and I had to measure them all out. Kitchens are much easier with handles!Debt at LBM 2010 £40,640.17. Debt Free 2017 Debt 2023 £24k I didn't learn! Debt now £7,600. NEW Goal Debt free by 20270 -

Well the Muscle food order arrived yesterday and OH and I shared it out between us. I have broken all the packs down into individual portions and popped into the freezer. And have started a menu plan for the next 7 weeks to use it as efficiently as possible:T
I also joined a group on here to try and get myself motivated to increase my income each month - forgotten what it is called
Starting low I am aiming for an extra £30 this month. Yesterday I managed to earn £11.87 commission at work which doesn't happen very often as my job isn't commission based.
I also chased up my expenses from September which haven't come through yet so hopefully they will be authorised today
Must get on and advertise some things to sell on the local facebook groups.
Made a fish pie ready to cook for tonight with some white fish that had been knocking about in the bottom of the freezer. It should make 4 meals, so will pop 3 in the new freezer for later in the month :-) Also found some stewing lamb and am planning a slow cooked Lancashire hotpot with that.
Had the last of the stewed Rhubarb from the allotment this morning on my porridge, so will have to start buying apples and stewing them from now on.
Better get back to work, have good day MSE'rsDebt at LBM 2010 £40,640.17. Debt Free 2017 Debt 2023 £24k I didn't learn! Debt now £7,600. NEW Goal Debt free by 20270 -
Lancashire hot pot is not the slow cooker ready for when I get back from SW tonight:D
Made some commission on Monday £11.87 which is unusual at work and got my expenses authorised , so that should be in the bank next week another £117.22 for:j the credit card .
Have worked out a meal plan for the next 8 weeks using up my share of the Muscle food delivery
Am aiming to batch cook , just hope there is enough room in the freezer!
Have ordered onions and garlic from the internet as they were much cheaper than the local Garden centres. OH wanted red ones which were twice the cost of the yellow ones thought so I compromised and bought half a kilo of each. I am hoping it will be enough onions and garlic to get us through next summer.

Feeling rather pleased with myself.
1/Menu for 8 weeks using muscle food order done.
2/Did 8 weeks of SW menu sheets working out the syns.:D
3/ Wrote shopping list for the first month and put it into MySupermarket.
4\shopped at Brands for L£ss, Lidl£ and Mr T's.
Have included Toiletries and cleaning materials and much of what I have spent will be for next month as well. Spending so far £158.00.
I just have to stick to the plan now:T
Spent weekend digging the plot over and planting the onions and garlic. Bulbs were much bigger and better than the ones I have been getting from local garden centres so hopefully will get better results.
We are forecast to get rain all next week so am trying to get the rest of the plot dug over before it is too wet. Broad beans will go in then.
Haven't done any selling yet although my beloved pressure cooker won't work on the new hob, I've had it for 36 years, but it is now in the selling pile
along with several other copper bottomed pans and the horse gear. With a rainy weekend ahead maybe I will get it done then. Debt at LBM 2010 £40,640.17. Debt Free 2017 Debt 2023 £24k I didn't learn! Debt now £7,600. NEW Goal Debt free by 20270 -
