I'M BACK!!! Lol! And my diary is still here - that is lovely to find :-) looking a bit sad as has been neglected for a good few years.

There has been a few changes in my household. I have sold my flat in the city and OH and I are buying a house in the sticks in a village outside Chichester so a bit more west than we were. OH is now semi retired and I have a lovely job as a payroll manager working from home. Slightly better paid and more secure (touch wood) than previous jobs. :-D

Not sure how many horses I had when I last posted but have recently reduced to the one... the baby I have had since he was 5 months old. Now all grown up and backed and ridden :-D

Debts were paid off when I sold the flat, but the trade off is a much bigger mortgage unfortunately. However I was only buying 50% of the flat in shared ownership as was looking at paying rent when I retired, now we are buying 100% of the property and were able to put a 44% deposit down, and it will be paid off by the time I retire. OH is however going to have continue working past his retirement age to pay his half. (Penalty of having a much younger wife ;-))

The Credit card debt I have since incurred is for a large vets bill and a new bed we desperately needed. It is on 0% and I actually have enough saving to cover it so I guess I am not technically in debt....yet! I just like to keep the cash put by :-)

Oh no !!! I have just realised the debt is a bit more as we have just taken out a£4,000 interest free loan for a new kitchen with Ikea! See how easily it is to slip into old ways ! Luckily we do have enough to pay this off in the bank too but with the old house looking to need more work I must keep an eye on the situation!

Other news is that just before we moved away, my Dr finally worked out what was wrong with me! Only took 5 years! I have Pernicious Anaemia and Vit D deficiency. So am on high levels of Vit supplements and 2 monthly injections of Vit B. It has only been a few months and I am beginning to turn the corner from being exhausted and in pain all the time with anxiety and depression to feeling I can do things and being generally more positive :-D :-D

Oh I am still on a diet thought SW now, something never change lol!!

Anyway enough about me for tonight, Bonnie the JR wants to go over the park to play ballie before it is too dark and I need my supper and a look about MSE to see what has been happening in my absence.

Glad to be back MSE :-D

Think we could be twins. I haven't got the anaemia but I have to have the B12 jabs every 3 months. I've just started feeling like a sloth again and its a while before the next one, so I may ask to be retested.

    Great to have you back

    Lol! Lucielle, what a coincidence!

I have had to fight for the injections to be every 8 weeks as I crash about then. Luckily my new Dr also tested me for Vit D deficiency as I didn't think the Vit B jabs were working at all. There are some good facebook and web sites if you don't already know about them :-)

Brrr it was definitely chillier this morning when I went to do the horse. MrG. The Car thermometer said 10 degrees, so autumn is on its way after all that heat! MrG still hasn't forgiven me for selling his friend and followed me around the field trying to bite me. I tried to give him a pat and he wouldn't let me. He succumbed to a chest scratch though :-)

Am working at home as usual today - have just gone round and shut all the windows as I am still chilly.

Oh has gone to B&Q to buy some more supplies for the kitchen renovation. He has to build a stud wall as we are having a downstairs loo put in too. This means I have to transfer some more of the savings across to the joint account sadly. We have spent nearly £1,000 on wood and plasterboard and tools etc. We still have to pay for the plumbing/ electrics and plasterer, I don't like the way the balance is reducing so fast! Still it will be good to have a decent kitchen as the one that was here when we moved in was a 30 year old Hygena one from the 80's and I don't think it had been cleaned for almost as long!

I think I will do an income and expenditure form and compare it to the one I did when I started my journey, then I will look at how to get these debts reduced a bit faster.

    Anyhow,

Back to work :-) much to do today, but I am soo tired after a bad nights sleep!

Formatting has gone a bit haywire but it is good news as unlike last time I have got some funds to pay back my debts more quickly:T

My income has gone down since last time as I used to have lodgers. Expenses have gone down as I have reduced the number of 4 legged dependants and thanks to the rising cost of property my Net assets have gone up.

Enough for now, next time I will look into minimizing my expenditure.

    by for now, TCx

Absolutely p$$$ing it down with rain today. :(

Had lie in and OH treated me to a cooked breakfast at the local farm shop and cafe! and we bought a new gas cylinder for the heater we use when we don't want to heat the whole house.

I had a look at the prices in the farm shop, but couldn't work out if they were cheaper than Mr T's.

OH and I had a nice unconfrontational chat about money over the coffee and he admitted that he had taken out another Credit card this week GROAN!! It is only 0%, but I sold my flat and took out a bigger mortgage so we could clear our debts and neither of us is doing very well!!

After doing the SOA I've realised that my or our main problem is we don't plan at all, we just spend all our money each month and when it has gone, we then have unavoidable things that need to be paid and we just shrug our shoulders and put it on the overdraft or credit card. We need to budget and in that budget we need to put some savings by, for the unplanned expenses.

This will need some time put by this week to organise.

Have brought Mr G in as he was sopping wet and shivering when I went to check on him. I thought Welsh cobs were supposed to be hardy! I seem to have a faulty one lol:rotfl:

Have been to launderette and spent £10 on getting the weeks washing done. I have a washing machine and tumble dryer of my own but they are sitting in the middle of the kitchen waiting for it to be refitted.

Anyhow OH and I need to do a stock check of the many packages that Ik£a delivered last week and that we have to form into our new kitchen. And we need to pack some of it under our bed so that we have room in the front room to make up the units. We have some fun evenings ahead of us this week :o

I don't envy you the kitchen building. I have a Lloyds account which I can open easy savers from the main account. Each savings account has been renamed so that I can put so much into each pot. For example Christmas, oil, holidays etc. Its not foolproof but helps
