Well am glad that week is over! Finally time for me to sit down with my sore ankle raised! I really must remember to make an appointment to see the Dr myself next week!
Small pony is now happy back out with his mates. Eyes are getting better quickly so am hopeful for the vets visit next Tuesday.
Tuesday I got back too late to cook and the cash machine wouldn't work so couldn't pick up Fish n chips on the way home. Still it saved the pennies. Instead I had leftover mash/cabbage/leeks made into patties and browned in the fry pan with a couple of fried eggs on top. It was lovely :-)
Wednesday OH made sausages and mash with crispy onions. Wheat free sausages for me and home grown taties and onions
Yesterday made lentil and bacon burgers with potatoe wedges. Used ground oats for the crispy 'breadcrumb' coating it worked very well :-) Had some left over to have with salad for my packed lunch today.
Tonight OH made a chicken and mushroom casserole in the slow cooker with roast potatoes from the allotment again. Am very lucky OH likes to cook
:D (He also did the housework today as it was his day off
)
Tomorrow will have to look for a replacement phone and do the weekly shop at A$da.
Time to have a mooch on MSE and then bed I think.

Briefly tho, Mr G's eye is looking better and he was creating such a fuss , I turned him out with his mates last night. Will continue treatment until the vet comes back on Tuesday to see if ulcer is going.
Don't know what the bill is yet.
Phone broke  will have to buy another one ..more expense!
Better fly... dog to walk, ponies to do and then work by 9
Have a fab Friday All

Good morning all!
Thank you NOA and DF for your wishes...w/e was fine. OH and I went out for a Sunday carvery with mother and her partner. They insisted on going half so it only cost £15.90 in the end ....excellent value!
Thank you for the reminder DF, I made several attempts to phone Dr's yesterday whilst at work, but was engaged each time! Ankles still very sore :-( and am very tired. Other half says I do too much...but in fact I do very little other than work feed ponies and walk the dog around the block. My 70 year old mother has more energy! Will try and phone them again today.
Vet coming today for re check up of Mr G so have to go and get the ponies in once I've finished my porridge. Have gone on to porridge from the rice pudding as A$da has had the gluten free one for half price the last couple of weeks, so I thought I would try it.
Anyhow I digress. There is a storm blowing outside..not sure how bad it is as still pitch black out there. Hope it eases off by the time I get to the yard as don't fancy bringing the boys down off the hill in this. They will stay in their stable and wait for the vet today. I wont know what time she is coming until I phone the surgery at 8.30. Then I will nip out from work to meet her at the stables and nip back. I have already made up an hour of the time yesterday at work and will make up the rest tonight. It's a bit of a palaver but better than taking a half days holiday.
I really hope Mr G is getting better as he is being a right handful a the moment. Can't really blame him though, first of all I kept him in for 3 days away from his mates, now every time he sees me I try and put my fingers in his eyes trying to apply the ointment!! Our relationship has gone down hill somewhat this week!!
Other news.. have ordered a replacement phone online at A£da to pick up tonight. It's almost the same as my broken one just the most recent version. An unplanned spend for this month but got it for £49 instead of £99 by shopping around :-)
Talking of spending...I haven't updated my spreadsheet this month so not expecting a very good month paying off the O/d and its payday on Friday so must get it done before then!
Breakfast done..Think I will leave dogbot in bed as she hates going out if its raining. OH can walk her later.
Have a good day diaryland
