If you like, I can stamp some Christmas images onto card and send them to you to save you spending pennies on a stamp. It would allow you to have a bit of variety too - I have more than a couple of stamps
Post re:comps coming soon. Need dinner first!
I like this one and I also liked a bare tree one but I don't seem to have saved it in favourites  I want to go for a minimalist look but with a gem to give it a lift mainly because I have two gem carousels that I bought on special offer in Tesco

That sounds good, DT, though I'm sorry you can't think of any businesses that would help. Random thoughts on this:
- using what you've got, absolutely - whether its food, or craft items, or packaging. Put notices on freecycle too.
- matched betting - the offers are still there, I think benben is still doing matched betting, tho even she has slowed down. When you're ready you can learn about casino offers (tho you can't talk about them on mse).
- I *think* I understand the logic of what you're planning with the interest rates on the card ... you need to throw everything you can at it, basically, so you pay off the interest bearing part asap?
- not just competitions and grabbits, but freebies too. And check out the discounts and vouchers.
- just today I joined a challenge that I've put in my sig - for a money neutral 2011 special occasions (tho obviously, this wedding won't be money neutral!!!). Its on the Special Occasions board, which is a bit confusing at first, tho you may know it already because of your crafting.
- surveys for amazon and paypal have made a real difference to me recently - I'm not doing them at the moment, but I might keep up with them, tbh, its been really convenient, lets say.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Good idea to use up what you have, my problem is remembering what I've got. I like the thought of doing all cards with one stamp, having a bit of a theme.
Can't comment on the balance transfers, never really got the gist of them, but I think I understand matched betting, so long as there are still offers around.
As for the money neutral, I need to work out the figures to see how well I did this year, but next year will be a bit more organised, definitely. Surveys etc. are a bit of a pain, but especially the likes of lightspeed about £1 for each one, there's enough for vouchers for Christmas etc.
hope you sort something out.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

That all sounds like a good start.
That sounds right about the CCs due to the new way they are working.0 -
Grabbit board
Check it daily and more than once a day if possible.
I use it mainly for presents for people so that I know I'm getting good quality but cheaply! For example, in one recent Boots glitch I spent £20 and got two really well-priced Elizabeth Arden sets but also got 1000 points, meaning that in Boots-money I had only spent £10.
I've just got a load of toiletries sets for about £3 each from Amazon and Mr F's birthday aftershave for £12 instead of £40.
Top tip! Know what you want and don't get all excited just because something is a bargain!! If you have time (i.e. you know there's not vastly limited stock) then check prices online to make sure you're getting a good deal.
In addition to the Grabbit board, keep an eye on the Discount Vouchers boards and the Freebies ones. Sometimes you get great freebies with a low postage spend. I check Wotnix and Snazal every day for presents for people - they offer a free book every day with postage of £2.65. Most of the time they offer sh1te but sometimes they surprise you!

Comping
First of all, don't let anyone tell you that this is an easy way to make money/get presents for people. It's not. Comping is boring and time-consuming and most of the time isn't worth the effort. However, sometimes you win something kick-@ss that makes it all worthwhile.
For example, one day I went to my neighbours house as I had a card through the door saying a package had been left with her. Instead of the Ebay buy I was expecting it was a designer handbag crammed with £400 of posh toiletriesVery useful for selling on Ebay and I'm now using Dior foundation for the first time in my life!
Everyone has their own way of doing comps, and reading the stickies in the main board are a good start. I work fulltime so haven't the time to really invest in it, although I plan on doing more in the New Year as the last 3-4 months I've entered none. For example, when I was entering a lot I was ignoring the daily comps as they would take me an hour a day. If you're not doing anything else entering those will up your chances of a win.
Some people enter by end-date. You can filter the board to date order so you would then enter everything ending 31/12 for example. Be aware that month-end will take longer!!
I used to enter most recently posted only and found this worked for me. I tended to enter ones for either things I really want (Although I still don't have an iPhone win!!) or for things that would be easy to sell on (DVDs are a really good one as they tend to have multiples to give away and they sell like a dream on Amazon)
Top tips!
NEVER post anything on the main comping board unless it's a comp which hasn't been posted before.
If you think you've found a new comp then do a detailed search. By this I mean search for keywords e.g. "Win holiday New York" and also for the URL where you would find the comp. It's blooming hard to find new ones though as the compers are a hardcore lot!!
Have a separate email account for comping. I wish I had done this as I get over 150 junk emails a day!!! Read through all the emails daily to make sure you don't miss a WEM (winners email) and never mass-delete your junk mail without checking subject headings first!
Facebook comps seem to be doing well. Have an account for these too and use it only for comping. Your friends will be driven dotty if you're entering comps on Facebook and clogging up their wall with it.
Twitter is good for comps too and I have had a few wins from my Twitter account too. There are good bits of info on the main board about it which are worth reading through.
Hope this helps!!

Thanks FF that really helps I have started last night and I have used my business email as my comp email as the business is going nowhere so that should be good I have read the sticky and yes I see what you mean about posting duplicate comps:eek: I have tried to be selective in what I have entered so far I did decide that a watch making masterclass was probably not that resaleable and not something I really wanted but have done lots of book and dvd ones which will hopefull be OK for gifts or sale. I did wonder if you did the fb ones and I agree some people's feeds drive you mad so looks like I will have to set up fb account number 3 :rotfl:I see it as a bit of fun really and if I win something well it will be a cheery day and we all need those.

Fascinating, absolutely fascinating! I set up a separate email account for pigsback signings, many moons ago, and I know its still active, so I might just give some of this a go .... I did do the one for the Daily Mail house in France a year ago or so. The other comp I used to do regularly is the itv morning or loose women comp - you get 5 free entries, and the prizes are really good - either thousands of pounds of cash, or a really nice holiday.2023: the year I get to buy a car0
