  • Well I have done my budget for the next six months in readiness for Sunday and the budget which in January I thought was tight but turned out to be very doable has now been slashed but it does mean that I will start with a clean slate and no shortfall to make up but there will be no easy weeks this time this budget is v.v. tight. It does mean if we can live within it that there will be some wriggle room in 6 months time when we next get paid which will be good because interest will go up eventually and therefore the mortgage payment and also there is no allowance in the budget for Christmas although I am hoping vouchers will see off a lot of that.

Well the euro cheque arrived but after I had been to the bank with my pay cheque  so that will have to wait until after the weekend.

Decided to bite the bullet and hire a 9 seater van as OH is still not well and I would be worried about him driving took a lot of ringing round as lots of places are shut round here Sunday and Monday and wanted to charge me extra days for returning it on Tuesday anyway now I am collecting it at 9am Saturday and returning 5pm Sunday so happy with that and we have decided that in fact it will make it more of a jolly jaunt :j:j at least we will save a bit on petrol too.

Social Services rang us today as the lad who comes to us on respite's uncle (who he lives with) is not at all well in Liverpool with liver failure so he will be coming to stay when we get back from the wedding so need to do some room rearranging in readiness

Other than that seem to have done lots of rushing round for very little to show for it but I have had my hair done :D

    Hi
we have no idea how the budget has affected your day to day living, but it doesn't seem like you are completely living on lentils, rice and beans on toast, so its good news that it seems doable still.
Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

  • As Gill says, the budget is doable and you are still eating well etc, and thats without any extra work that comes your way.

Poor lad, at least he knows you at this difficult time, any idea how long you have got him for?

The 9 seater sounds fun, (((( all together now "The wheels on the bus go round and round........................))))))) :p
One small step for ME, one giant leap for my family!

Of course the reality of the budget doesn't start until sunday so lentils may be on the menu yet

No idea how long we are going to have him for and we have to factor school runs in etc. so logistic nightmare but I am sure we will manage

We are looking forward to the bus and strangely that song has already featured in the expected repertoire :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: along with "baby you can drive my car" :D
