Have a lovely day, hope you are feeling better.

Considering you've got a bad cold, DT, you sound like you're doing really well - job hunting, making do on the wardrobe, meeting went well, budgetting *fantastic* - some pats on the back are needed, I think. Private tutoring sounds like a good idea - I know of a couple of people who do it, and they're very dedicated.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

I have considered private tutoring and I am giving them extra help in the holidays which they are really enjoying - I am not terribly happy with the school in general there are some really bad influences and my little boy in particular has a knack of getting in with the wrong crowd and always seems to be the one in trouble as he is not streetwise enough to avoid it - they have a new headmistress which so far has not proved terrible good and no Gill there is no alternative and I feel guilty as my older children had a much better start than this so it is either move house for a better school or the private option neither of which will be cheap. They are also picking up really bad grammar I know it is how the locals speak but it really grates and I am constantly correcting them does that make me a snob because I want my children to speak nicely?
OH has had a lovely birthday and we really enjoyed the grand prix. Cold is a bit better hopefully it will improve again by tomorrow don't want to be sneezing my head off in court- I am really looking forward to it in a scarey sort of way everyone I have spoken to has been really nice so far although I haven't spoken to the person I will actually be shadowing yet fingers crossed all goes well.

Absolutely, fingers and toes all crossed for you.
No it *doesn't* make you a snob! I know what you mean, I think - there's something there about freedom, and horizons, and not being hampered by other people's misconceptions, all sorts of things, that I'm really not feeling quite articulate enough to woffle on about. Take it as read :kisses3:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I thought you may be a bit stuck for schools in the area. It is probably harder because the older twins went to private school and all the invisible stuff that comes with that. It's a lot easier living in a city, as it does give you choices.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Yesterday went really well - enjoyed the trip to court although the girl I was with managed to get us there 2 hours early and when she finally realised it was a bit strange nobody had turned up we went for a coffee in Morrissons - such hard work :rotfl: at least it gave me a chance to read the file which was good. Everybody I have met so far is really nice. The setting for the office is fab and better still the commute was about 11 minutes.
Off to court again today but further away and I am meeting the solicitor there so I have to find a tall slim girl with a short brown bob - I hate her already :rotfl::rotfl: everybody says she is really nice
Sober trousers suits seem to be the uniform nowadays - what really struck me yesterday when reading files is how the vast majority of the correspondence is by email how things have changed but it did mean that during the time spent waiting for court the solicitor could use her blackberry to answer emails - might have to trade in my ancient nokia after all:o

All sounds good so far - and is doing exactly what it needs to do!

Good to hear everybody is nice, even if they are tall and slim
. I very rarely wear a skirt anymore, and actually when not in a really formal meeting most women don't even wear jackets, fine knitwear seems to be the rule.
It means half my workwear is now redundant and the other half will wear out quickly.

The dress code is really interesting and certainly the younger women seem to favour trouser suits and the older ones skirt suits one of the barristers today wore a fab suit today which I really could see me wearing but I bet it was expensive. I got to sit in a Saab convertible too - think this is all going to my head
You can tell how formal I looked yesterday my Mom asked me if I had been to a funeral :rotfl:
The tall slim girl was really nice but not really that tall but definitely slim so I didn't hate her too much we are off to court again together on Thursday.
I have had an absolutely fab day today I really want to do this off to search for jobs - I really really need to do this
