This has definitely given you a bit of a kick.
I agree, I hardly ever wear skirts for work anymore, generally trouser suits, and as you say unless its really formal, most women seem to favour those drapy cardi efforts.
White or cream blouses though do tend to provoke one of two responses

So nice to "hear" how positive you feel about all of this
It's very cheering and has made me feel ready to attack the mountain of work on my desk!
I agree about formal wear I work in a small company and if ever I get suited up the response is always "who's getting a warning!"£112121.02 10 Years and counting!Target in 2011 £22K /£10646.97 DFD Feb 201742Lbs /23 Down 19 to go!:shocked:So now I just need to keep going!Nearly half way through the year and I'm still here0 -
Happy Easter folks
Well this week being part of the grown up world has been absolutely fab. I didn't feel awkward or out of place and I have met a great bunch of people. It has definitely crystallised my thoughts that this is the area of law I want to specialise in. I have seen a job advertised that would be perfect experience wise for me and although it would be a bit of a trek would be doable so I am going to concentrate on the application form this weekend as it has to be in by Tuesday. I know there will be a lot of people after it so not counting my chickens but it is a start. If that fails then I am going to start sending CVs out until people give me a job just so I stop pestering them
OH took our little girl to Alder Hey on Thursday got badly stuck in holiday traffic on the way back but the good news is that they are going to do the op on May 27th which is much quicker than I dared hope for :j:j:j:j:j
OH himself is not well suffering with either very severe sinusitis or inner ear infection had to visit out of hours yesterday for antibiotics and of course it is the busiest time of the year for him so I ending up doing his service yesterday thankfully it was a meditation so doable and his colleague will do his service on Sunday.
Really busy yesterday trying to catch up with all the things I hadn't had time to do all week haven't even had a chance to look at the bank yet to check some money was paid in but it is usually Ok and then I need to sort new budgets out as we get paid next week :T:T:T:T:T:T:T
So busy as usual in the DT household

Good news on the date for little ones op, that's really quick. Is that a Friday? The one before the bank holiday?Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

That's the one although there are rather a lot of Fridays before bank holidays at the moment:D it does mean that she will have time to recover before going back to school :T

Good news there DT and sorry to hear OH is full of lurgy.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
Keep pestering away, someone will realise your experience will be better than someone with none bt more recently in practice.
Have the hospital said how they are going to get round the anaesthetic issue your little girl had last time?
Here's to OH getting better and wages being paid :beer:One small step for ME, one giant leap for my family!

They are going to do certain test before the op but it is probably going to be a case of keeping fingers crossed as nobody is sure what happened last time but at least this time if there is a problem we won't have a 70 mile dash along the A55 - needless to say I will be glad when it is over but we need to know if this was a one off or a recurring problem
OH is still suffering but the kids are having a nice time eating eggs and decorating balloons and just chilling.
Hope everyone is having a great time.

Hope you've had a relaxing break. As you say, your little one will be in the best place and hopefully what happened last time was just a 'one off'. I know you'll be mega stressed when you are there, but if you want some company for an hour let me know and I'll come to Alder Hey to meet you.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0
