I hope its all going beautifully for you, DT, thank you so much for the good wishes on my thread. You've worked hard for these few days, and I know you must have quite a bit of work *during* them - but in my head, and in the positive vibes I'm sending, you're brimming with energy and having a lovely time.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

I have had a lovely time KC and as a Christmas treat I have allowed myself to play one of the FB games that I blocked earlier in the year and I have also been reading some diaries that I have never read before and there is some inspiring stuff on here so all in all a pretty good time

This morning I had another long soak in the bath so not only am I clean but lots of time for thinking and plotting - the bath is definitely my place
I have decided getting a decent job round here is probably a non runner and even if I did I would probably have to work full time to make it work moneywise and I don't think I really want to do that.:(
My own business just does not seem to be happening and I am idealess so unless something socks me in the chops I am going to put that on hold.
So the plan is to keep an eye out for short term jobs like the census job (which I am still waiting to hear about) where there is no long term commitment and where I can allocate the money earnt to debt and a treat.
The rest of the plan is to up my non taxable earnings so that means matched betting, competitions and the grabbit board so that I can either sell stuff or use them for presents I don't know how successful any of that will be as I have not investigated any of them before so FF if you are reading I would be interested in competition/grabbit board tips and anyone else that does these things too mb I get the idea just need to start so anyone willing to hold my hand would be much appreciated.
In view of it being impossible to judge how I am going to do with the above the other side is that I need to look at our spending again. I have a cc that's about to lose its interest free status and for the first time I have not been able to find a card to transfer it to. Two of my exisiting cards had no offers so I shut them down and I applied for a new card and got turned down  typical a couple of years ago they were throwing cards at me its a MBNA card and the only offer I have is from another MBNA card. However I realised this morning I have a cunning plan. Up to 28th Feb they are offering me 0% on purchases on this card expiring Sep or Dec depending on the amount of purchase which as I plan to clear this card in May is great. Due to the new rules about putting payments to the high interest parts first if I put my normal shopping on this card for the next 2 months which will be at the 0% and at the same time pay off the amount spent as I do with my normal spending card then the amounts paid off will come off the interest bearing bit thereby giving me in effect a 0% transfer to the same card without even having to pay a transfer fee. Can anyone see any fault in my logic? Slight delay in implementing this as OH can't find his new card and I don't have a card on this account but we have ordered new cards this morning and as soon as they arrive I will put this plan into action.
I have also more or less handed the shopping and cooking over to OH whilst I was on my diet which was great but has meant we are spending more than necessary on foodso I plan to take these back on board and reduce expenses I have my new Nigella cookbook so planning on looking for some new recipes.
I also need to look at spending generally as this seems to be creeping up so a spending diary is in order. I have also checked my pressie stash and I have 5 Christmas presents, two half Christmas presents, 1 birthday present for September, two bits each to start off my two sisters' christmas hampers and lots of little girl gifts for birthday presents for my little ones to give when invited to parties thankfully the girls seem to do more parties than the boys. All this without spending a penny :j. So if I can add to that stash with any grabbits and competition wins that wll be good. When my MBNA spend finishes at the end of Feb I am going to do my normal shopping on my Tesco card to build up my vouchers again and hope that they do another useful double up promotion next year as it saved me a fortune this year :T
I also need to make a list of all the gifts I have and who they are for so that I don't double up. I have a lot of card making stuff which didn't get used this year so I want to buy one really nice stamp and make my Christmas cards for next year all one design to make things simple. I have one in mind so will see if they have a sale on. The little ones have plenty of cards as they did not get to hand them out this year because of the snow. I also still have some wrapping paper so hopefully won't have to get too much next year.
That's all I can think of at the moment but a good start I think and am sure I can make substantial inroads on the spending sidewhich is just as important as upping my income.
Thanks for listening to my ramblings.
Hope all your plans for 2011 come to fruition.

Let me know what kind of stamp you're after, I can guarantee I have something in my stash that would suit!!!!
If you like, I can stamp some Christmas images onto card and send them to you to save you spending pennies on a stamp. It would allow you to have a bit of variety too - I have more than a couple of stamps
