I'm so pleased you have had such a lovely indulgent weekend - bet you can't recall the last time you had one! The coat is indeed fab, looks like one of the lovely things to wear that act as a sort of magic armour so you can wear it when you need to be 'booted and spurred' and know you look fab too.

Any descriptions of your new wardrobe would be really interesting - I'm hoping it might make me move to step one - losing weight so I can get to step 2. One of the things I have found as I get older is a certain loss of confidence so having a capsule wardrobe that does work sounds like a real confidence booster to me.

Hope this new week goes well for you,

Since I have lost weight, I have taken a huge amount of pleasure in going into shops I would never have gone into before. Even if I have no intention of buying, I no longer feel that the shop assistants are going to laugh at me as I walk through browsing!!

LK Bennett is one of those shops that I don't buy anything from (am saving that treat for bonus day) but do love to go in and mooch. When I was at my biggest I felt awful in there but now I have more confidence I love giving the impression that I could buy whatever I wanted!

    :D

Hi Maggie, when I did a big weight loss, I actually got some clothes that made me feel good when I started, DT did something similar too. I also had at least one outfit that fitted on the way down too, so that I felt good about myself. Mine was a slower diet, so I needed clothes on the way down, as compared to DT's monitored faster weight loss.

Losing weight and dieting seems to be such a complex things, it's as much about confidence and emotions as the weight itself, or that's what it seems like to me.

Hope you get a confidence boost, and best wishes for the weight loss and the wardrobe :)

Absolutely - and I think that is what has made the difference to me this time round - I have addressed the confidence and emotional issues as much as I have the food itself!

I made sure that I had well fitted jeans on the way down - everything else I made do with, but it was good to be able to put on a pair of jeans and at least feel good in *something*!

  • I love all the clothes talk especially as I now get it and yes Hypno I now feel I can go into shops with confidence and just browse which I would never dreamt of before - I call it my "Pretty Woman" experience:j

I need to add Dotty P's to my list I forgot I bought a top !!! dress in there which I am wearing today :D

My little girl (aged 5) is very funny when she saw what I was wearing today she said I looked very pretty and that everyone would want to sit next to me when I went out but they could only sit by me if they looked smart too and that I had to sit in the middle so they could all look at me :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: she has also lent me some jewellery to wear today pity its pink and purple and I am wearing green and black

I am smiling today and about to go out in my posh coat as I am going to LLandudno and round here that is quite posh shopping :)

Dawnybabes I think the problem is we can't have the fat busting machines on the boobs so it is easier to get rid of the fat in other areas;)

I have to say a big thank you to Sarah999 because it was through her I did this diet and the difference to my whole life and attitude is unbelievable:A

Not to make you jealous Hypno, but my capsule includes one of their cream cotton and cashmere tops, it was still mse as I got it from their Discount shop at Bicester Village. Do they have a discount outlet near you, it might make the bonus go further?
  • A couple of posts were made whilst I was typing I just wanted to say without buying the clothes before I started the diet I would not have had the confidence to believe I could do this diet so although in one way a complete waste of money:o as all those clothes have gone and they couldn't be altered because I was dressing for a completely different body shape in another way they were priceless. I did try and minimise my clothes spend on the way down as it was only taking weeks for me to slim out of stuff :D but knowing from quite a while ago that I was going shopping this weekend and that by then I would be slim was all I needed and I could put up with less than perfect clothes (even OHs coat:eek:) because I knew today I would have a new wardrobe.

I have now unpacked everything and its great having it all together my wardrobe is virtually empty so I have lots of room to put it away just have to sew that button on :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Really must go out now but I have found the dress in Dotty Ps I will try and put links to the other stuff on later

I love the dress DT. My capsule has a similar French Connection one, more of a denim blue/black paisley pattern. Mine I wear with leggings/jeggings and ankle boots. Are you wearing yours as a dress or like me more as a tunic?

No I am definitely wearing it as a tunic I hate my legs I am wearing it with black jacques vert trousers today which is OK but would look better with leggings I will try it with thick tights and my knee length boots too but on my trip to Llandudno I am going to pick up some leggings I have my next ankle boots on.

Right really have to go now.

I tried mine with jeans/trousers too, but they were too bulky and spoilt the line as the fabric is fairly fine, so had to do even more shopping :D
