All this talk of what is *you* reminded me of last year. My sister wanted to buy me something nice to wear when we went out for my 50th. She planned an afternoon shopping; I planned half an hour. She wandered into shops, rifled through racks; I walked round and if nothing hit me, walked straight out again. She picked up things saying "that will take years off you"; I thought "I wore that style 20 years ago!" She picked up little summery tops; I won't show my arms.
I think I need someone who doesn't remember when we were both the same size with the same taste.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

When the budget is tight you automatically go into buying things in the 'safe range' as you can't afford to make mistakes. But when the finances ease up, time has passed, and it's difficult finding things that are really you as you need to take clothes buying risks a little too.
Admittedly on the "I wore that style 20 years ago!", I must admit the current retro revival styles weren't my favorite the first time, so maybe that's why I'm finding it difficult at the moment.0 -
I love this discussion:j:j
Before I forget no KC there is no snow on the Great Orme but it is on the mountains all around I think we are due some snow tomorrow but I have missed the weather forecast.
I have had a great day today wandering round Llandudno posing in my new coat :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Got some cloth and ribbon I needed for my stall at the pamper evening on Friday. Also finally remembered to replace my tape dispenser which has finally given up the ghost it is a really heavy one and only £2 so very :money:
I think it was se999 who said about the free makeover in Body Shop so I decided to give that a go and it was great so I have treated myself a little. I have also had two links taken out of my watch which was one of the designer ones advertised on here last year at a ridiculous price but it has been driving me mad as it was so big and now its great:T
I am now putting the spendy elves to bed but I have really enjoyed it.:j:j:j

OOh how exciting about your makeover DT!!!
I have loved being able to buy decent make up again since getting the new job. I was a maniac for it in my spendy years and while I was abroad but HAD to cut it down when i got back. Got some money for my bday though and went and invested in a bit of Clinique Bonus Time. Lovely stuff to wear and last for ages. Last time I bought some I got in my lift and a lovely man tried to kiss me. I told me gay friend who said 'This is what comes of buying expensive make up' I think he might be right!!!!'The road to a friends house is never long'0 -
So so loving the top from Coast.....so much so I may be going to try one on in the next day or so.

We do love a bit of Coast....and their carriers are divine!'The road to a friends house is never long'0

Looks like a good mix DT that will work well together. My anke boots are very similar to the Next ones, I do like ankle boots with trousers in the winter.
DT - yes I did have a free makeover at Bodyshop, pleased it was good for you too, mine was quite a naughty treat too, but when you update your cosmetics, like your wardrobe, the next free makeover you'll only need to add little bits0 -
Am loving the clothes chat! At the moment I am coveting THIS LITTLE BEAUTY. I know it might not be to many people's taste, but I :heartpuls *sigh*0

Well I didn't have that reaction but my little girl said my face was pretty. And yes as I thought Mom really approves of the coatDT - yes I did have a free makeover at Bodyshop, pleased it was good for you too, mine was quite a naughty treat too, but when you update your cosmetics, like your wardrobe, the next free makeover you'll only need to add little bits
They were very nice and so I didn't feel too embarassed to confess how awful I was at putting makeup on and they made sure I took full advantage of all the special offers. I have always wanted to have it done but never had the bottle to do it before but today I feel like I can do anything.
