me too slowlyfading. I've joined the gym and been zero times because I have a cold -that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. I've developed an obsession with cupcakes because we're having a cupcake wedding cake so I've been looking at photos of them, and as I type this I'm sitting munching on a massive pack of buttons.

My dress is an inch too tight at the waist. If I don't get a grip I wont be able to zip it up.

I haven't even started looking at dresses yet - I feel far too fat for that!

    Noooo. Don't ever think that!!

I need two things: This cold that I've been having for a month now to go away and the motivation to get my bottom into the gym and do a workout.

Only trouble is I've joined the work gym because it's £10 a month and all the hot boys at work go in there so I don't want to go in while they're there!! I don't want them to see my pathetic attempts at fitness or the fact that after 2 minutes of cardio I look like a sweaty beetroot.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

  • I discovered today that the Maggie dress I bought in a sample sale which the dress shop assured me was a US size 6 is actually a UK size 6! :(
No wonder it's a really snug fit, given that I'm a size 10!
I have started the 'get toned to fit into the dress & still be able to breathe plan' as of today! Thankfully I have 10 months to go.
The plan is, after reading through the posts here, at least 30 mins exercise bike couple of times a week, few hundred sit ups a few times a week, zumba once a week, and might give the flabelos a go too!
So far so good on day 1.... 30mins bike, done, 300 sit ups, done. I'm sure I'll soon be bored of it, just gotta keep reminding myself I need to be able to breathe when the laces are tight on the dress!!!

Go go go Dawnebabe!! :j (looks like he's doing star jumps)

I constantly have to remind myself what I'm doing it for, when I have to drag my behind out of bed at 6am to go for a run or do my Davina dvd!

It's all for a good cause and we *will* look fabulous :D

  • Right - I am making my public pledge here that as of now, this very second I am committing to losing weight!! I will start going back to the gym again and eating healthily (I have already gone from a size 24 to a 16 but have now gone back up to an 18 and undone all my hard work:eek:

So please feel free to give me a nudge and check up on me, kick me up the ar*e or poke me with a stick to keep me motivated!!!

I am going to weigh myself tomorrow morning and will updaet weekely on my losses (if that is ok! with you guys!)

    Full of motivation now!:T
  • Well i've been to the gym three times this week and pilates once for a hour but have a box of quality street in the office that i can't stop picking at! :(

I'm going to go the gym on friday but am away at my parents at the weekend so that will probably be it for this week. I really struggle to know what to do at the gym too, i get bored really easily so just end up doing 5 minutes on things. What does everyone else do?

I have been listening to the paul mckenna weight loss cd the past week or so every night before bed. Its very relaxing. I have not been doing massive amounts of exercise with it but i have been doing lots more cleaning. I am certainly more active. The bin is about full of rubbish. Nearly 4 bags just from my daughters room.

Today another bag from my sons, I have cleaned the windows in the living room, 2 lots of washing and put it on the line. Filled and emptied dishwasher. I can totally recommend it and my house is tidier what a bonus! I keep randomly doing on the spot exercise its not very like me. When i walk into town i normally catch the bus back but i have been walking as well. I was speeding up till my legs burnt yesterday. I have lost weight not a massive amount but makes you think how much quicker i could it i set my mind to it and got the wii fit out etc.
Its really cheap at the mo as well here
