i don't have a target weight either, more a target size -ish
when i initially tried dresses on i was thinner than i am now, though i must say wedding dress sizes are ridiculousy small compared to normal dress sizes. also, any girls blessed with boobs also have to go up at least 2 sizes .. not fairdon't let the b*stards get you down or you might have to live in a bin - <<< this could be you!0 -
I've been really bad the last couple of weeks and have lost no weight but I'm doing my belly dancing, pilates and a couple of zumba classes so far...what I have noticed is that I'm fitting in things better which is what I care about mor than numbers on the scales tbh. I had some t-shirts where they were tight on my upper arms, but are now comfy, and some trousers feel better...not claiming to have imporved loads but it just shows weight isn't everything0

My weight has been creeping up steadily of late and I really need to sort it out and get it creeping back down so count me in! I'm currently a 10/12- maybe more 12 right now!- and I want to get back down to 8/10 so my dress fits properly and I actually feel confident when I'm wearing my bikini surrounded by friends and family on my wedding holiday. I'm not too bothered by my weight, more my size, but if you would like a fibure, lets call it 14lb to lose by Christmas!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0

I'm again more keen on inches - I bought a sample dress which fit like a glove when I bought it, but is now a little snug around the bust. OH isn't complaining, mind
I really don't want to lose too much inches wise, as I don't want to have to pay for alterations to my dress!
Overall, I'd be happy with a stone's weight loss by December. I'm doing the moonwalk next year, so training for that will help.Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0 -
I would also love to lose a stone for Christmas!0

Does anyone have any magic food tips to share? I'm always after help with what to eat that is a) healthy, b) filling and c) cheap! I never really cook big/proper meals on an evening because OH works late so I'm usually eating alone and by the time I get home from work I'm too tired to think of what I can cook that won't take too long!
I've just started taking Spinning classes, only had 2 so far but I'm looking forward to seeing if I actually tone up, I hope so because the classes kill me! I'm trying to use my Wii Fit more often now too, I got on it on Tuesday night and it told me it had been 237 days since the last time I was on! :rotfl:Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. I make a lot of soup, which I usually take to work in a thermos flask for my lunch. My usual is butternut squash and carrot (zero points for anyone doing WW). I can give anyone the recipe that I roughly follow if people want it? Soup is very good at keeping you feel fuller for longer, especially if you make a thick soup.
My evening meals, if I'm being good, I'll cook some rice, normally brown rice, grill some lean meat like chicken or pork or have fish, and then make ratatouille to have on the side (onion, courgette, peppers and a tin of chopped tomatoes all cooked down). Fairly easy and non time-consuming, especially as the ratatouille can be cooked in advance and keeps in the fridge or can be frozen and then just reheated.:j Debt Free 27.07.2011!! :j0 -

It's dead simple, I don't tend to weigh stuff out too much, I just do it by eye. You'll need a very big saucepan, which has a lid. I normally do:
1 medium onion, chopped, and fry it off lightly in a splash of vegetable oil, until it starts to soften. Then I add approx 1kg butternut squash (a decent sized squash is about 1kg normally), peeled, insides scooped out and chopped (butternut squash can be a bit hard to peel but a decent potato peeler normally does the job) and a couple of decent size carrots, peeled and chopped. If you want, you can also add a couple of chopped red peppers too. Cook them off a bit over a medium heat then add a couple of litres of vegetable stock (hence why you need a big pot!). The actual volume of stock isn't too important at this stage, you need enough to easily cover all the veg, as whatyou need to do now is simmer it for about 20 mins until the carrots and squash are cooked. I then leave it to cool and blend it with a hand blender. Once you've done that you can add more veg stock if it's too thick, until it's the consistency you like. Once I've done that, I freeze it in portions, normally about 400ml or so.
And that's it. Soup is so easy to make and you can really just make it up as you go along. If you like a bit of a kick you can add a bit of chilli powder or paprika or something. One thing I normally do is either make an 'orange' soup, with carrots, butternut squash, pepper etc, or a 'green' soup, with cabbage, broccoli, and other green veg. Don't mix the two types of veg too much, especially if you blend the soup once it's done, otherwise you end up with brown soup, which really isn't appetising!:j Debt Free 27.07.2011!! :j0
