  • Well done on your weight loss so far ladies,I am overweight and have been since having my daughter nearly 2 years ago,I am 5ft 5 and weight in at 11st 12lb's,was 12st 12lb's 6 weeks ago,I have been going to my doctors every 2 weeks for my weigh in and found this has helped, unable to afford Slimming World costs, but am following their plan a little bit whilst cutting out cakes, crisps, chocolate etc,If we have chips I make my own,eat salads, pasta, cous, cous but also eat the same meals as the family but perhaps cook things differently then I would have previously? If I really fancy something though I have it,whether it be a slice of cake or some chocolate,so don't feel deprived of anything, unfortunately I am unable to exercise at present cause I put my back out a few months ago, this was another reason for me to lose weight,I am hoping in a month or so once I feel better I can start going to the gym and tone up a bit.Not sure where I want to be weight wise for the wedding next July but would hope to be around 10 stone,so a way to go,got my first dressing fitting after xmas so am hoping to maybe be another stone lighter by then?

  • I have 4 weeks left!!!! Had done really well on the slimming world diet - I can't go as my ocal meetings are at a time when I am already busy. I had lost about half a stone but been on anitibiotics for a week which have made me so hungry and I have done nothing but eat. Back on the slimming world! If you can't get to a meeting the best thing to do is to write it down! I didn't realise just how much I had ate! Need to get back on it - could lose half a stone by the wedding!
  • I did think about trying slimming world or similar but tbh, I thought that I might get a bit of grief as although I've put weight on for me i'm still a size ten. I'm really small boned tho and all the extra weight has gone to my hips/thighs/bum so I really really hate it. Is slimming world aimed at people trying to lose more?
  • Why dont you try aerobics classes hun? If you feel that the extra weight has gone to your hips/thighs and bum maybe you just need a tone up???

  • I have been going to the gym for a few months but haven't really noticed any difference, that's why I've started to think about diet as well. I'm going to start going spinning as well, it's pretty evil so will hopefully make a difference!
  • Im getting married in June 2012

We have a baby due next April so once he/she arrives the race is on to lose the weight. I was already 3st over what i would have liked to be. I would love to get back down to 9st. Im trying not to put on loads of weight like i did with my son (i gained 4.5st) but i literally ate for 4 people & went from just over 8st - 11.5st which is what i am at the moment.

Once the baby is here i shall be back to Slimming World & back to my personal trainer to whip me back into shape
  • A personal trainer is exactly what I need! I wish I could afford that, maybe I could get my fantasy celebrity body that way!
  • I'm getting married in November 2011, and want to lose about 2 - 2 and 1/2 stone, not setting an actual target and just want to see how I look and feel at the time. I really want to get started on the weight loss now, as I want to look for my outfit at the beginning of the year, and think I'll feel a lot more comfortable if I'm a bit slimmer then!

I'm another one doing slimming world. I've done it before, and normally find it easy to stick to but everytime I try just now I end up managing a day or 2 then giving in. I've been signed off work sick for the last couple of weeks, and because I'm at home all day I just want to graze.
