So feeling pretty darn good - and this forum has played no small part in this (compare this post to my first 5 weeks ago!)

Thank you everyone and for those struggling and feeling really down, like I was a few weeks ago, you can do it - GOOD LUCK!!:A:A

What a lovely positive post well done mark:T

I think that cup of tea watching the cocktails is a very important step. I remember, when I first tried cutting down, going through agonies of withdrwal and envy watching all the staff at Holby City boozing it up in the hospital bar.:rotfl:

Well done Shaggy on your excellent restraint while you were away:T

Hope you're not feeling too bad today MissP? You're total is creeping up well, and bearcus and trasi. Great:T

I might take a tip from mark's book and get some veg later. Reports are saying that some will be in short supply (like sprouts:j:D).

    Back later, planning AF tonight.

Good luck Maman! Just got back from a second trip (forgot one essential:doh: - well a pack of 4 rolls:o) and it was MAD!!!! MAD I tells ya!

On the sprouts front, I bought 4 (that's 4 individual sprouts!) so I'm not really hurting stock levels (can't stand the things but GLW must have them at Xmas...)
Smoke-free since Jan 2012 :j Now its just the drink, and the weight, and life in general :p

Day 17 AF - looks like I might miss my target by 1 or 2 or 3 days so might get to 24 or 25 or 26 days. Will see how I get on

Have talked myself out of buying some more booze for Christmas by thinking, it'll be in the cupboad for months or years so why bother?!

I have been very busy lately and have managed to avoid almost all events where alcohol has been involved. I even went to the pub last Friday and ended up drinking 3 pots of tea!!

shaggy I have had 18 AF days this month!!

Well done everyone, especially mark who started the same day as me.

I have moved onto fruit teas to try to help my thirst and knitting in the evening to keep me occupied.

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

  • Good morning all

Manic round here last couple of days.

    17 for me please Shaggy!
    2 please Pen!

My target is well within my sights. I've gone completely deaf with this bug and am on decongestants which say "no alcohol!". Well thats me sorted then.:o

Feeling pretty lousy but perked myself up enough to give Piglet a good birthday yesterday, and then collapsed into bed at 7.30pm. Did go to work but wished I hadn't as the evening girl called in sick again and they asked me to cover "to make up for being off the previous day". I told them where to put that idea. :(

Piglet was MOST excitable yesterday :D He had some lovely pressies (won't mention the pyjamas from the out-laws that had a label on saying reduced as one pair missing....:rotfl:) and was thoroughly spoilt.:) Roll on crimbo now......:rotfl:

    Miss P
    xx

P.s Almost forgot to say - some big totals / targets being met this month. Well done everyone!!:T:T:T
