Couldn't help but be struck by the irony of this. It's the same snow in the same town!:)

Have a great time at your party tonight cazz.

Ha ha ha, that's really funny - strange how we all view things differently isn't it?

I am a snow lover, always have been. Perhaps it's because I grew up in the North West. When I was a child, we regularly had to dig ourselves out of the house! Brilliant!

  • The snow has just hit here this afternoon. According to the BBC forecast it is "light snow". If that's true I'd hate to see their definition
    of heavy snow :)

Went down town for half an hour and barely made it back in the car.
Couldn't pick up DS2 from work for his dinner break so will have to walk there later and take some sensible shoes and clothes.

I love looking at snow but hate travelling in it. I just put the tree up in the window this afternoon and it does look great to have the snow behind it.

Hope everyone is warm and cosy and don't need to travel far.

I work for a parcel carrier Maman, so any snow means chaos!!:D Espesh just before christmas when everyone is desperate for presents to be delivered etc!

If I could stay home all day then I'd probably think it was lovely! So if it could come back on christmas day that would be great!:D

I have to admit Caz, the snow does make Swindon look much more attractive. :T

Hi 115K:) There seem to be a few on here who can't wait to draw a line under 2010 and make a fresh start. I can understand that but do try to keep moderate, where possible, and stay in touch with even a couple of AF days then January won't come as such a shock to the system.
Just though that para sounds a bit preachy. Not intended, I think it's a message to me to make sure that Christmas doesn't mean I have to drink for 12 days solid!:D Plus unlike some of you I have no excuses other than that I enjoy it.

Don't worry you didn't sound preachy at all. :) I am having a few more AF days before the end of the 2010. I'm planning on having one tomorrow.

Good luck 115k for the new year

    Ta! :A

Hope everyone is okay and not too cold! :snow_grin

  • 6 AFD's for me ... as of Wednesday - see post 2622 - not tonight. Opened a bottle of red which will last me tomorrow as well.

Aiming to be AF Monday to Wednesday, although Xmas will hardly be a boozy time as I'll be doing a lot of driving on Christmas Day and working Boxing Day. NYE might be another matter ...

Thanks 115K Glad you got my drift that it's worth clocking up any possible AF days ths year because it's all too easy to take a 's*d it it's Christmas' attitude and give up altogether. I'm hoping for one or two more before 24th and maybe some more between then and NYE.

Couldn't resist popping out of lurkdom to confirm that's exactly why I've been so quiet recently and have fallen totally into the Christmas pit fall of giving up so far in December. Started to realise that hitting 10 for the rest of the month will be quiet difficult. Haven't written the idea off yet but it's looking tricky with 0 so far on 19th Dec.:o

Still 0/10 for me please Shaggy! Won't bother putting that in bold but will wait till I have an AFD to report.

Can't even claim it's been moderate, a few bleary eyed mornings although not hungover at least.

Congrats to all on here who are doing well at a difficult time of year.

    Morning all.

Sounds like a lot of people of finding hitting their Dec targets hard. No more AFDs since my last post:( so I failed the 3 night challenge - sorry Pen:o but thanks again for running it, it really helped) but I did at least get two in a row again - unheard of before joining this forum.

Because of that I'm also looking at failing my Dec target but am determined not to chuck it all in and give up for the month, so planning to be AF today and Wed (my fallback day for tomorrow has gone an an old friend wants a night out away from the family, so it would have been rude to say no:p)

Still, compared to last year, and the year before, and the year before (you get my drift....), its been a good December.

Take care everyone and enjoy the snow if you've got it - cold but no slow here and good luck for those still going for their targets.:)
Smoke-free since Jan 2012 :j Now its just the drink, and the weight, and life in general :p
