  • Hi Everyone
Think its about time i stopped lurking and stopped by to say hi and introduce myself before the mad stampde in Jan! Ive been on this board before, i reckon about 1 year ago and got loads of support and encouragement. Since then drifted back to old habits, gone through several cycles of mimimisation/denial and have decided that enough is enough of this drinking every night malarkey! On average drinking 1 bottle of wine Mon - Thurs eve and then even more than that at the weekend. Dont feel in a place to sign up to any AF challenges this month but have been quietly making some efforts to reduce my drinking.
Anyway i wil go for now, look forward to getting to know you all
It’s not what you have in your life but who you have in your life that counts
  • Hey Mackeroo - welcome - wonderful place and alot of good advice on here

Goodluck on reducing - I was doing a similar thing - I can't thank the folk on this board enough for the help and support they showed me to make the bottle of wine a night thing a thing now I hardly ever do.

:) looking forward to hearing more about you too!

Hey chaps a bit absent from here - part of my technique to distract myself in the evenings means I'm tidied up with an alternative passtime which makes it very hard for me to drink/

I hope you're all well and fine - not caught up for a bit but I do think about the thread most days :)

Keep up the good work - it all helps.

xxxxx Huge stripey hugs to you all xxxxxxx

    Morning :santa2:

I climbed back on the wagon last night and I will be AF tonight too, so hopefully I'm "back in the game".

I'm away this weekend and will be off line. But keep those AFDs coming.

I am planning on being AF from Sunday through to at least Christmas Eve next week.

I'm off to update the chart.

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Having a bad time indoors with 'im. I'm trying to make it through xmas for the kids sake but just want it to end. I'm telling him it's over on Jan 2nd.

After then, life will become sweet and I will be happy for the first time in a long long while :)

You are a saint Jo:A Just 2 weeks to go until the 2nd kick1.gif

  • Morning all!!

    13 for me please Shaggy
4 days done - challenge completed - thanks Pen!!!!

    Welcome to Mackeroo.

    Pip - I reckon you've taken up Morris Dancing!:rotfl:;)

Its Friday! yay! Piglet finishes school at 1.30 today. Taking in his pressie for his teacher and some sweeties for the kids as its his birthday next week. Expensive time of year:eek:

Have rearranged plans for the weekend. Piglet was going to the out-laws overnight Saturday, but now we've got heavy snow forecast and I don't want him getting stranded there. Wierd though, it wouldn't worry me if he was at MY mum and dads!:rotfl:

Better get on...another busy day. Be glad when crimbo is finally here!!

    Miss P
    xx
