Separating critical email from your isp is well worth doing.
I just hope it wasn't 123-Reg you joined, they're *upgrading* their anti-spam measures and making a huge mess of it, last i heard0 -
Answering my own question, we do not have a contract with Orange, so no use to us, just use it now and again for pay as you go, regards oap0

Cheerio everyone and thank you all for your special help and support, this could be our last contact for a while, see you when we are up and running again, regards oap0

Totally agree. Had I done that earlier, I wouldn't have been so reluctant to dump V21. Lesson learnt!!
Nope, I used 1&1 as you suggested. Actually, thinking about that, I possibly should have contacted you to see if there were any benefits for you if I registered on your suggestion....0 -
Anyone know what's happening about our 'ceases' please?
Although an earlier poster with inside info from BT Wholesale was adamant that they would go through today, my NetServices BB is still working to my surprise, and an ADSL line test shows the status as:
This line has ADSL fully installed on it. There are no open orders currently on this line.
I'm not complaining but, for obvious reasons, it would be nice to know what's happening...

See post 741, click on the link to BT and put in your phone number, there is a piece at the end that tells you. Regards oap0 -

I've now used the link given by GuessWho in 741 http://www.btwholesale.com/getbroadband and the test result indeed includes:
Note: There is currently an ADSL cease pending or in progress against this line. This cease is due to complete by the 1st December 2006.
So maybe it will happen later in the day?

Yes that is what it says for me too, also NewNet said they had lots of people waiting, so seems a few of us have gone there. Yes it would be nice of BT just to cease the line and then reinstate it immediately, why not?? Regards oap0
