    I have been using V21 for just over a year now and had no problems until last Monday when I found that I couldn' t connect either. I had the same problems on Tuesday and yesterday also. I spent ages last night looking at the computer in case I had accidentally deleted something or changed my V21 password etc but thanks to this thread I now know its not just me.

    I was thinking of going for the broadband package offered by them but to be honest I don't use the PC much at home and would rather just switch to a cheap dial up connection - does anybody know of a reliable one?

    I would advise all of you, if you have not done so,to change your payment method to DD.
    If there is then any funny business you can at least cancel the DD at your bank.

    Alared, I'd already thought of that - DD is better in that it lets you stay in charge. JoanneJ - I get the blank page even though it allows you to connect as well, but I think you're wrong about the 2 hour cut-off. That simply happens after 2 hours and "logging on at the hour" doesn't have any effect.

    Let's look on the bright side - I've had no problems today (so far!)

    HI again all, well having problems trying to get on to V21 tonight to get the reply to them maybe charging twice for new b b, I have a e mail saying I have a reply, but cannot get into the members page!!! The two little tvs in task bar which flash blue, go dead!!!!! but I am still connected, weird, so will try again after this to see their reply!! To be honest I have contacted Fast 4 e mail members page and always got a very quick and polite reply and very helpful. Cheers, oap ps maybe they are trying to get us on b b. They succeeded with me!

    By the way, last night I had a look at Pipex, having seen a bit about it somewhere on here, I did not proceed, but had put in my telephone number , they rang me today to say could they help, and had I signed up with anybody, so I was honest and told them I had signed up to V21 as a Fast 4 customer. They dont miss a thing do they???

    Hi all, well managed to get into my members area, and they had replied very quickly saying they could not explain why I had had two e mails with two different invoice numbers, and I had only been charged once, and also credited with the £4,99 I had just paid dial up and ten pounds refund for bt connection. So very pleased with that, however, I notice that for new customers on V21 free bt connection and free modem is being offered, so I have sent another e mail via members page and asked them why as a good customer of Fast 4 since last Jan, I had not had it free too? I got a modem plus postage, will let you know what they say, cheerio,,oap

    Nice to see you are perserving oap. I hadn't realised that you were on broadband and you were experiencing connection problems also. That's a bit surprising as I assumed that they weren't bothering much with the dialup customers, and were (quite rightly) prioritising with the broadbanders.

    I agree that when their service works, it works quite well. They seem to have repsonded quickly to your comments through the members area.

    Hi Geoffo, thanks for the thanks, most kind, I am sorry I seem to have confused you, I only signed up to V21 broadband on Tuesday last, 3 Oct, so still on dial up, waiting for connection to bt,, which apparently takes a week. The invoices they did twice were for the new broadband account. Anyway they have replied, so fingers crossed all will go well!! will keep you posted, it is so good to read all this feed back especially whilst dial up has been playing up, I really thought my computer had gone beserk and was worrying in case there was a worm in it or something. Cheers, will keep you posted how the broad band goes on when I get it??
