Concerned to read about invoice/bills being sent out. Ex Fast4 DU customer.
Have not been able to enter Members Console since Oct 06 and after no net access for weeks was reconnected on same pw/user early Nov. But no member support ever since, erratic connection, overbilling and all emails/letters/phonecalls ignored.
Have not been able to use the freefone connection number ending 025 for 3 weeks (only get NO ANSWER).
So no idea how/where to respond if I too find the new [higher] payments have gone out.
The 'Review of ISP' site has accounts of court-instructed Biscit refund cheques bouncing and the CEO shrugging off coverage of this alarming occurence, by a large company, as "overblown" and not indicative of a cash crisis.
Either way it does not instill cofidence in the company with its many complainants stories on so many sites.
But can I risk leaving when I cannot connect nor have ever seen if Biscit have honoured the (no penalty for departure) Fast 4 terms?
Everyone else connecting on ....025 number without problems then?0 -
Hi All - May I join the attempted rip-off club?
I also received an invoice from Biscit dated 25-01-07 but not received until 02-02-07.
Nearly the same: "Your cost of Services with free 24-7"
and access your account at: http://portal.ispserve.co.uk?a_code=v21
Totally vague about what the invoice is for except 'services'
Covering a 2 month period but only charging for 1 month ??!!
Similarly unable to login.
I was one of the 20,000 or disconnected last November following NetServices chop.
Is anyone even thinking of paying their invoice?0 -
My invoice is for £9.99. I wouldn't have known about it if I hadn't been able to access the members area. As I put in a previous message my credit card from which they were taking payments expired and I have been issued with a new one with a different number so they won't be able to take payment off that. There is an option to 'pay now' on the website but I don't know what the £9.99 is supposed to cover, phone calls? internet access? There is also another option to 'pay by direct debit' ie give them you're bank details which I'm reluctant to do. Problem is, if they disconnect will I be able to get a mac number to transfer to another provider?0

bbandcowboys, did you get your invoice via e mail?0

Hi OAP - answering some of your questions:
- You can "speak" to someone in customer service in real time online. Obviously, you have to be connected to the internet to do so but I tried it out to query my free telephone calls and it worked quite well. Email the customer services and you get a reply within about 24hrs. I would NEVER use 0870's unless my life depended on it!
- Yup, easy to set up. Wack in the supplied cd and away you go. Having said that, I asked for and received the manual settings so that I can try a router/modem I picked up at a car boot last year.
- I won't use virgin for calls during the day - 1899 is still the preferred method for me and still cheaper than BT. I tell the OH to make her calls eves and weekends, unless her life depends on it!
Following this thread, I guess I'm to expect a bill for £9.99? Not had any monies taken last 2 months and this is making me a little apprehensive. I half expect V21/Bis*it to suddenly start wacking my account to make up for lost time!
Have sent emails cancelling my DU to 5 different email addresses. I'm going to do as alared suggests and bombard them every day until I get some response. Or is that asking too much from these cowboys?
Glad to be (nearly) out of it...I'm NOT political so DON'T correct me!0 -
Like you guys ive received 2 invoices, for Jan and Feb, sent by email. The link in the invoice works ok, but the new members area won’t accept my login details.0

That seems very strange. Are you absolutely sure you use 0808 993 3025? If so, do you always try at a particular time of day?0 -
Hi there
2nd attempt at a post lost last one with dropped connection ,thought I was ok after several sub 2 min connections.
Useless service last couple of weeks.
Well done Nix ,if you manage to cancel OK please could you let us know how you managed it.
I too have been looking at Virgin but I think their deal would mean leaving Primus which has been a good deal for me, under £2 for 6 months of calls! (BT line rental and 18185 for mobiles).
I have just received an invoice from Biscit for £9.99, dated 25-01-07,for the period 01-01-07 to 01-03-07 .
I see I have a new account number, also at the bottom is a warning about fines for late payment.
Considering that even though I didn't pay anything in December, they still owe me £4.99 and then to go on about owing them is a right cheek!
The new link for your account details works, that is after finding that my new Biscit issued (after my account was reactivated in November) password didn't.
I reverted to my old original password, that worked fine.
Considering the time wasted lately trying to get a decent connection I think I am going to have to seriously look at BB.
Has anyone any knowledge of a dialup isp by the name of geoisp or something like that?
Cheers for now.
Quick before I lose connection!!!Move along, nothing to see.0 -
Received an email invoice charging for a two month period from 19/1 to 19/3/07 for £9-99.
This is the correct amount and also the time period that I owe.
I usually pay buy DD but I don`t know if my existing DD is OK for them to take the payment or whether they want me to set up another DD.
They are a bunch of *rseholes, leaving people in the lurch by not informing them correctly.
I can log-in to the members area but there is no "contact us" link or a members secure message facility available.
Every email I send to different address for them that they give on their website, are just bounced back.
It`s just unbelievable that Ofcom that must have had thousands of complaints about them have done absolutely *uck all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0
