    Hello again :hello:

Well, credit card finally came, so off to Tescos we popped!!!! Trouble is, i then spent £85:eek: but i really have stocked up on even more things for the cupboard and freezer, i prob didnt need to but makes me feel so much better knowing that we have lots of food in the house!!!! Also managed to fill the car with petrol, was getting a bit worried as it was getting near the red line!!!
Weather here is quite nice, mind you we had 4 hours of thunder and lightening last night and torrential rain (including a power cut, so lucky im a bad sleeper as my alarm clock had re set itself!!!) Massive puddles all over the place this morning too!!!

Kyle - hope DS1 is ok, must be horrible when he has a drop like that x
SOMO1 - who cares if its the money, you are doing BRILLIANTLY, so well done you!!!!!

Also, welcome to all the new ones popping in today!!!!

bargainrzl - thats a good bargain for edinburgh! Did you order your sofa?
I can't order the sofa until I know when I'm moving, as I don't have space to store it where I am. HA's solicitor is still playing silly bu99ers (my solicitor is still waiting for them to resolve a final query) so am a bit stuck really. Also, I do have one practical concern about the sofa - the arms are quite a lot higher than average, which means that the diagonal dimensions are quite chunky and I can't quite work out whether the thing will fit through the doors. Pavlovs_dog says she'll give me some diagonal measurements (why they don't publish these in the catalogue is beyond me!)

(BTW, p_d, I forgot to respond to your PM - I don't need a fabric sample as I already got one from the free helpline service. Thanks anyway :D)

Besides, at the rate things are moving, it's starting to look like I might as well put up with not having a sofa until Christmas - then hit DFS in the Boxing Day sales...

    ((((Penny Pincher)))))

Hope things improve with your leg.

Two of my Dds have a really bad cold and I am starting to feel a bit "throat tickly" so need to go out for tissues and cold cures.

Curry is in the oven and a huge pot of soup is in the slow cooker.
Just hung out a few essential items to try to dry for tomorrow, and decided I was not going to drag a huge basket of wet washing to laundrette to dry it.

Decided to just take things easy and look after DDs and DH if he gets "man flu!"

Found out that Boots in York and Asda in Monks cross will be offering flu jabs for £12 and £15 each on October and November and tried to talk DH into getting this done - but "he does not like needles - lol"
    "This site is addictive!"

    Preemie hats - 2.
  • Morning all. Bucketing down here with thunder and lightning. Good job I didn't get round to putting the washing machine on.

:grouphug: to PP, I hope the news is better soon.

Managed to zip round the supermarket before the heavens opened this morning so am restocked for the week again. I put some wholemeal dough in the breadmaker before I went out so now have a batch of rolls rising while I roast some veggies in the oven. Also put the chicken carcass in the slow cooker to make stock so have been a busy little OS bee this morning.

    Breakfast: cereal
Lunch: HM soup, remains of chicken with salad
Dinner: stir fried chicken with noodles

Have a good day everyone, try and stay dry!

    Love
    FF xx

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Hi!

Got loads to try and do today but keep getting distracted  and spending too much time on here again. I have stripped the bed but have yet to sort out some clean covers, must get back to putting the whole set away inside one of the pillowcases.

I want to try to make red lentil dahl or a spicy red lentil soup and know I have seen a post on here for it. I cooked up a largish organic chicken yesterday which made a roast dinner last night and loads of lovely stock. So must now process the rest into cream of chicken soup and a chicken curry.
I now have some swede to use and some beetroot from the organic box, swede could go in the soup, beetroot could make into the choc beetroot cake.

DD came home last night to see doctor and has an infection in her tonsil bed! She had her tonsils out long ago, so she is now on anti biotics and off her food. More bad news, a good friend of ours has had another heart attack and is to be transferred to Barts Hospital to unblock one of his main arteries, so lots of worry here. Does anyone know if Barts is easy to drive to for visiting or would it be better to travel in by train?

Anyway got to get back on and make that bed.

((((((Hugs))))) to PP and to Kyles ds1

:lovethoug PP hope that the worst senario does not happen...........

Managed to get into town and do all I wanted to before it started to bucket down, its so dark now you would think it was night..............

Went to my freinds yesterday, her knee is doing ok, we went for a drive, ended up at a local antiques barn. I found a set of wall hanging shelves that would look great in my living room...... £25....did not buy them needed to take some measurements first.......

Not a lot planned for this afternoon, I have a pile of ironing waiting, it must have been cold last night, the stuff I put on the airer is still damp......... too damp to iron, so will see what tomorrow brings forth.

Off for some lunch now....HM bread, cheese and beetroot I think.........
