    Catch up time:
Congrats to Michelle, hope we see you back on here soon once you've got into your new routine. Plus, we need pics!
Happy Birthday to Pen-Pen too. :j
I'm feeling a bit like B Rzl today, a hangover without the the alcohol. I've not slept well all week (I think the winter duvet is still a bit warm), so that's probably why.
Working from home today, cos my car's in for a service. Should be less than £200 (and is covered by my work expenses), but I know they'll come up with a long list of other stuff that will need sorting in the next few weeks.
In between work (;)) I've loaded the DW, put 2 loads through the WM, stardrop & MF cloth-ed the kitchen table, cleaned the bath, sorted the recycling, emptied the kitchen bin & disinfected it and made a batch of rice krispie cakes. Oh, and eaten last night's leftover pasta for lunch.
It's Coq au vin for tea, so the chicken quaters are currently languishing in a bottle of £2.99 cotes du rhone, before going in the oven.

The WM is beeping to tell me the 2nd load is finished, so best go get it out.
See you later  have a nice Friday

DD (21) comes home to celebrate her 21st!

I have bought a chocolate cheesecake as a birthday cake (they all love this) and will put candles on it etc.

Have made my special chicken stuffed pancakes with cheese sauce - took most of the day - and have pressies wrapped!

Will meet her at the train station at 5.30.
Tomorrow is meal out with elderly relatives and just enjoying having her home.

    Hugs to all.

    Afternoon all,

It's raining here ... which isn't good news for my washing! I had 3 loads out with another ready to be hung, have resorted to TD to get them to the "damp" stage and then I will hang on airers. I still have another 2 loads to do today  .

We've had a work colleague of DH's stopping for the past 2 days, he's now left ... but another friend arrives for the weekend in an hour .. hence the frantic washing and bed making activities. Thank gawd I work from home!!!

Queenie - garlic bulbs should be planted on the shortest day of the year and picked on the longest day .. traditionally. But anytime from now is good.

Dinner last night - the beef was delish .. however, DH did the most disgusting yorkshires imaginable, dunno how ... because he always makes them and they are always ace

Dinner tonight will be fish 'n' chips from the chippie.

  • Thank you for your welcome. Have been and got the stardrops and some starclens (looked better for floors)!

My name is jellycat after the brand of soft toys. I collect teddybears (although they are far too expensive these days, now I would never spend £200 on a bear) and one of my favourite everyday makes is jellycat, sort of squashy bears just like me!

Went to therapy then on to the charity shops in Bristols Gloucester Road, poor pickings.

Then went to Morrisons, got loads of stuff, but spent £108+. Still lots of chicken - DS eats 4 breasts at a time as he is pumping up in the gym and apparently needs loads of protein. Lots of fish for DH who is dieting and lots of quorn for me who is veggie. No crisps, ready meals, sweets or cakes and only one tiny packet of biscuits for DD3 who is 9. Also we are getting a visit from step daughter (18) on Sunday and so I did a shop for her of personal stuff that is a pain to buy like tampons, shampoo, deo, shower gel etc!
