I managed to open this account online instantly and I have been given a sort code and account number.

However, I am unable to transfer money into it. I am presented with the following error:

Sorry, we are unable to complete your request. Certain accounts may require you to leave a minimum balance in your account. If you are still experiencing difficulties one of our systems may be temporarily unavailable. Please try later.

This occurs whether I try and transfer £1 or a larger amount. Has anyone that has tried been able to fund their ISA successfully this morning?
You're spelling is effecting me so much. Im trying not to be phased by it but your all making me loose my mind on mass!! My head is loosing it's hair. I'm going to take myself off the electoral role like I should of done ages ago and move to the Caribean. I already brought my plane ticket, all be it a refundable 1.

Just called the Halifax and they said the first transfer in needs to be via phone or branch. Unusual since I was given the option to transfer money in during the opening process (but didn't have the funds available at that time). Oh well it's done now.

I have just got my certificate of re/investment. This perhaps is an understatement as I have held all of the generations of this cash ISA and have never been able to distinguish what I have from the statement. Interest rates are not mentioned. I am not happy with this. At least they could of said what the interest rate was at the time of the printing of the document. I am delighted with the 3% if I am really getting 3%.

I had exactly the same problem with my Direct Reward 2 (2.60%). I was told when I enquired in branch that it was something to do with having to read the key ISA rules to you. Not sure why you can't just tick the ISA T&C online!

I've just noticed that my ISA is still saying Direct Reward 2 - I though they changed it within 24 hours, but may be I'll have to wait for the paper work?

I "re-designated" all of ours last Thursday.

As of today, they're now all called "ISA Saver" rather than "Direct Reward 2". This is the title when I click through to the actual ISA statement itself, rather than on the page listing all accounts at the beginning. I'm hoping this isn't ominous but a transition phase and soon they'll all read "Direct Reward 3" or some such. Haven't received any paperwork through so far...

I'll be keeping on top of this, as they screwed up the interest paid on one of ours when I transferred it to the ISA Direct Reward 2 in April. Cue multiple phone calls, official written complaint and eventual compensation of £20 for all the mucking around.

I was told (over the phone) that the account would first of all become an ISA Saver (poor paying) for a day, and then be backdated to Direct Reward 3 the following day.

I'd also get a letter confirming each stage of the transfer, but to ignore the first one :) .

A bit messy, but better than saying that existing customers can't transfer.

Mine changed to 'ISA Saver' for a few days, but is now 'ISA Direct Reward 3'.

The 3% interest rate has been backdated to last Wednesday, the date that I made the request in branch to change it over.

Just phoned Hal. have transferred my ISA Direct Saver Reward 2 (2.60%) to the ISA Direct Reward (3.00% with Reward c/a as long as £1k/month is credited to account).
I should have checked this, but does anyone know if there is an upper limit on the transfers-in?

I've just rung Halifax to try to redesignate my ISA Direct Reward 2 (2.6%) to the new Isa, but was told there would be a loss of interest for the existing Isa, putting me back to 0.5% backdated to last April.

Alternatively I was told I could redesignate it to the new Isa next April, when the 2.6% rate runs out.

The bloke on the phone seemed absolutely sure of his facts. Should I ring up and try again, or go into a branch?

Has anyone else managed to redesignate to the new Isa?

    Thanks everyone
