Sassy, I love how you are turning things into positive :T Thank you for your care. It is really helping me when I know that someone -even only in Internet- cared enough to pop in to my thread and say some good words to me.
I found some Bach remedies at home, started to take them. They used to help me before, so hope this time they will do the trick as natural a-deps as well.
I want to live, I want to be happy, I want to feel strong and it is so horrible when you simply can not!

ah thank you too, the positive thinking is what (try!) to do, otherwise depression can take over your mind and bring you down. I was really down couple of weeks ago posted on here and l know how much other's advice helped me :o

angry with myself, did not do the list of priorities yet. :(
  • Be nice to yourself and cut yourself some slack. You wouldn't be as hard on a friend as you are being on yourself. So you didn't write your list yet-no big deal. Pencil in a time to start it today and get it out the way so you are on your way to feeling a bit calmer and achieved. You really do sound as if you need a day off the hamster wheel. Hope you are able to take some time out.

Don't be angry with yourself, sometimes even just doing a list is too daunting, it often has been for me.

Often when I got like that I had some coping mechanisms, depending on how bad I felt.

A favorite was to roughly tear up a sheet of paper into 6 or 8 bits - a nice theraputic action in itself :) - then write one of the tasks you need to do on each section of paper and put them in a box or drawer, along with all of the paperwork on your desk.

Stick your hand in the drawer/box and pull out one bit of paper. Do that task, complete it, then screw up the bit of paper and enjoy the sensation of throwing it in the bin knowing that job is out of the way.

Have a tea break then pull out another bit of paper and repeat the process.

OK, you may not be doing your tasks in the priority you would prefer, but you ARE getting through your work bit by bit. And sometimes it helps to get rid of the small cluttery jobs first - it frees your desk, your attention and your mind.

When you feel a bit more in control, remove the remaining bits of paper and put them in rough order, return them to their out of sight place and carry on working through them one at a time.

And do please make an appointment to see your doctor. :)

    Hugs to you.

hugs I had a moment like this 4 years ago, best friend was dying, ill kids on and off, just the simplest things like the kids getting a party invite would set me off as I didnt want to go. I was cryign all the time.
For me it was total exhaustion, I didint feel better until i had about a month of sleep, luckily my parents helped and did school runs etc, I slept all night, woke up and then slept all day. This did also stop the total panics I was having in the night, so scary.

  • Sounds like adrenal fatigue to me - start eating better, taking some exercise, even if it's just a walk round the block, going to bed by 10.00 and lying in until at least 9.00am at weekends. if you're not feeling any better in 4 weeks go to the doc.

  • Hello Amalis
You sound just like me, I notice that a lot of people are feeling like this at the minute, maybe the dark nights drawing in and the cold weather. Sending lots of positivity and going to share a bot of my trouble.

I too am like you at work, lots to do but can't be bothered to do it - i work much better under pressure, when I know something has to be done now, I do it! When I have time to leave it and prat about on the internet at work (like now lol) I do just that and think I can't be bothered.....

I have had lots going on and often feel down and fed up and can't be bothered - i have had a few health worries myself, gallstones etc, being part of a court battle with my boyfriend while we try to get access to see his child, constant abuse and harrassment from his ex, death of my son's biological dad on his birthday etc and at the same time doing our house up since last october, having only just moved in September. I have struggled on for the last two years and have just had 5 weeks off with stress, it all got too much for me!! I have a two year old little boy so his tantrums haven't helped.....i have found that exercise and me time is the best therapy, and retail therapy of course, but then with the way the economy is, thtis is even tough now and money worries are at the front of everybody's mind....I have just been interviewed and got the job I went for, can't wait to start. i just want to give you a bit of hope that after everything we go through, there is light at the end of the tunnel. I am hoping my new job, new house and positivity (as well as my holidya tomorrow!!!) gets me through the difficult and hard times that life brings.

Keep focussed on you and try and smile :) x

I failed that interview. Perfect continuation of the story.
At my current employment , my boss was way too unsatisfied with my job performance and expressed it in words like "unprofessional" and "lack of skills". After 3 years doing this job.

Hun, please don't beat yourself up.

But DO go see your doctor. Explain the situation re having to reveal medical stuff in your line of work and ask for their help - this won't be new territory for them, they will know how to handle it.

Please Hun, no job is worth breaking your health for and the sooner you get the medical help it sounds as if you need, the better. Just think, if you let your doc do their job you could be feeling a whole lot better in a week or two - and I know that to be absolutely true from personal experience. Mind you, if anyone had tried to tell me that when I was at my lowest I'd have refused to believed them, but there is only one way to find out, so pick up the phone and make an appointment. Please Hun.

  • amalis, you can see a counsellor privately and no one has to know, not even your gp if you don't want them to.

Everything you tell a counsellor is confidential. Look at the BCAP website and you can find a list of trained and accredited counsellors in your area.
