Life after bankruptcy?

Guys, i'm not stupid, ( i don't wish to sound rude ). I've checked it all out. I've applied for wtc, but i'm not eligble as my income was above the threshold, ( only just ) in the last tax year, 2009 - 2010. I'm waiting for the next tax year, 2010 - 2011, because my income was below the threshold for sure, with the time off i had for my op, and stress, in the later part of the year. But i'm behind with my ni contributions too, thanks to them being frozen for no apparent reason, whilst i was bankrupt, and somewhere along the line i've got to pay these, this month, before i can apply for benefits, (£100's almost the whole year, except for when i was on benefits ). Thats the only benfit i can apply for, whilst i'm working.
There just seems to be a no mans land for certain people in soceity, like me. I've always tried to pay everything myself. I still owe £500 for the gas bill from my old house, which i'm still trying to pay off, plus car insurance is due this week, ( i'm already paying quarterly, £160 per quarter) , and road tax is due this month, which is going to be around £200 at least. All that is on top of ' living ' , paying rent, bills, outlay for work expenses, petrol, public transport, postage, other costs incurred for work, with the £200 - £300, i owe for ni, is there little wonder my food shopping comes in at 92p this week. Is there little wonder i'm tired?
It took any money i had, having the time off work for the repo, add to that the removal costs etc, and the transition from coming off esa and having to find up front expenses to re start work, and the delay of having no income for 2 months ish. Add on the new year, little work available factor, aaaaaarrrghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhDebt free - Is it a state of mind? a state of the Universe? or a state of the bank account?

Are you close to a church? can you walk into one now. My church will help everyone. Someone can help you. Plus someone from CAB needs to go through your finances properly as you still need money to help you through the week. Is there a church close by?Aiming for a minimal spend 20220

There are victims and there are survivors, firstly you need to decide what you want to do ...
If you want to be a victim then stop reading this and stop reading the good advice such as Handymans etc.
If you want to be a survivor carry on reading:
Call your GP-- they will do house calls, Call your jobcentre they can provide short term money issues. You might be depressed despite saying your not and things are getting on top of you. Can't help yourself with a chemical imbalance so you need to seek the help of someone who can.
Your knocking down every solution because I believe you don't want the advice. which is fine cest le vie.
But I think your a fighter 47 pages of a diary means you are.
Samartians can maybe help you see the light so could a debt charity or an advisor therapist etc.
The choice is yours but if you choose to be a survivor there are at least 8 people ive counted on this thread that will help you.0 -
Somehope, you can keep a personal diary if you wish, no reason not to.
Or even a private blog that no one can read.
You are asking SW to leave you alone to work through this, but you came to MSE for a reason, you post for a reason.
I read yesterday about how you have pawned your fiddle, so I know what instrument you play.
You talked about how you applied to be a driver, and then you joked about how bad your driving is.
You talked about how you don't want to be a music teacher.
You have been thinking about how you can get permanent paid employment, so you no longer have money concerns. We are here to help.
I have offered you the chance to purchase daffodils. The offer still stands. There is hope in those budding daffodils. You enjoy looking at them and I am ensure they enjoy looking back at you.
Tell us all to go away, don't post on here again, but we will still be here for you. We are still your virtual friends, whether you like it or not. And friends don't give up on people. Even virtual friends.
Yes Aesop. I have pawned my fiddle, nor do i have the money to buy it back. Its due on the 7th. The rent, bills and car insurance are priorities. So maybe, i just won't bother getting it back.
Maybe in my naveity, i was making what was ,to me, a personal entry in my diary, as to what is undoubatably, well, how it is right now. How do i write a private blog, on the internet. I'm so naive, i don't know how to do that.
Yes i did apply to be a driver. No, my driving is'nt bad, ( i just drive like a racing driver), Is that bad?
I defintiely don't want to be a music teacher. It was'nt my choice of career.
As for the daffodils. I'm a very proud person, and have'nt asked, or have'nt had anyone to ask for help, through all of this. Maybe it would have helped if i'd had someone who i could really offload to, and i'd had some emotional support.
I would'nt dream of imposing on someone, by accepting even so much as bunch of daffodils from them. Can you see where i'm coming from, without being insulted? Maybe i was brought up in too much isolation.
I need some fresh air. It was free, yesterday.Debt free - Is it a state of mind? a state of the Universe? or a state of the bank account?

Hi Nohope
I don't think I can add anything to the advice you have already have but I hope you find a way through this and manage to take on board some of the suggestions people have already posted.
I know things have been really tough for you and obviously still are but things won't stay like this forever. They will improve and you can survive this and get to a point where you are happy again.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
