Life after bankruptcy?

Nohope, people choose to behave in a certain way. Those who bully do so because they feel threatened in someway, or their very purpose or identity is brought into question. Mix that with paranoia because those people believe others are acting in the same way, well, quite frankly sums up what is happening here.

Many of us know there are people that are supposed to be on MSE to contribute positively but are not all the time. You're correct in saying they're using other usernames, other identities, trying to hide their own grammar with text speak, in order to troll. We know who they are and more importantly we know why they're doing it.

I'm sorry these fools believe you to be me. I'm sorry you have been dragged into a very childish game that actually has very little to do with MSE and I'm really sorry these people are attacking someone that is suffering the consequences of bankruptcy and reposession.. someone they're meant to be propping up otherwise what is the point of them being on he bankruptcy threads? They think they're hurting me, they're not. They're hurting a vulnerable person dealing with bankruptcy. They ought to be very ashamed of themselves.

The very strange thing is I have had a diary, these people who are attacking you have read my diary, know my circumstances and more importantly the way I write. My writing style is completely different to yours Nohope. You cannot falsify or hide the way you write. Should these people have an ounce of intelligence they would relise that.

Speaking of ounces.. heard the term 'an ounce of decorum?' Something which these people do not have.

Please continue to write your diary Nohope. It helps to empty your head of these thoughts eating you up, I know as I wrote mine last year. Why would anyone want to pretend they're going through the bankruptcy process all over again is beyond me. Wake up people.

I should'nt be wasting what i consider to be my very precious sleep time, by coming on this website now, as i've got five back to back day and night shifts, before i can finally have a few hours decent sleep on thursday. Still part of this process of getting myself out of this financial quagmire. Not that i'll see any of the money anytime soon. I'll only get a couple of hours sleep, at best , now. Never mind.

I'm too soft, deep down, in that heart, i once had, and your post warrants a reply. Though i believe it truly is a waste of time. I believe there are certain people out to be as nasty as they can to me, and as you all know, i have no idea why? other than snippets people have told me. Its a really decent thing to do miche, and i thankyou for your courage, for saying what you've said. But i still think it won't make one iota of difference, to how people are treating me.

But they have ' picked on ' the wrong person. After all, i've been through divorce, debt, bankruptcy, repossession, cancer, suicide, not to mention a few others. The small matter of a handful of trolls, well, why not add them to the list? I'm overcoming everything else, whats a few trolls, thrown in with the bigger picture?

You are right. There will always be bullies, as its their way of coping with their own insecurities. To make someone else feel worse than they do. I would like to see these trolls, one to one. Their only security is in their possee, or their flock of sheep. Several people attacking one solitary person. Slightly unfairly balanced, to my way of thinking. sadly most people, sit back and think, anything for a quiet life, don't get involved, so theres no support network. Because no one has the courage to stand up to these sorts of people. Except me. Don't ever mess with an arian.


I've seen the same behaviour towards ' now ' and JMV, too. Its disgaraceful. Maybe its because i feel they are similar characters to my self. Ultimately strong, and not afraid to speak their mind. Lifes adversities make you stronger, too.


Now, i could name and shame these perpetrators. Is it my place to? Or maybe people with one iota of intelligence, can see for themselves? Its obvious to me, too, that these perprtetators made the unkind posts about me, using different aliases.


Which brings me to the mse site and its team. Why have these posts not been removed? Why are you allowing trolls to have arguments on my threads, and then locking them, so i can no longer post on them. And most importantly, WHY? are you not removing these members or aliases, from this website? Why don't you have a one ISP, one username policy? Why are'nt you policing this? I would like my thread back again, please.


Lastly, but not least. The reason i was called a hypocrite, was because it was suggested to me, and i'd also had the thought, to start a ' safe ' thread for newcomers to the site, like myself, to be able to share how they were feeling, in the here and now. Just if they felt like any sort of speech. Because maybe some people have forgotten, what ' its ' like. Not as social networking, ( though theres alot of it going on, on the bankruptcy board). And for the record, i had been in the bankrupt inn a few times, but i'd been ' blanked ' , ignored, no one spoke to me.


With that, i'm going to where i should be now. Bed

NoHope (Think that really is the wrong name for you, you must have hope to have got through everything you have in life)

I haven't posted on your thread before because I have never been through bankruptcy or most of the things you have but I read your thread because I think you are amazing for coping with everything you have been through (& a little bit of me is worried that it will all get too much and I want to make sure you are still posting). I do care about you although I don't actually know you!

A couple of things I would like to take issue with you on though.

I think the MSE Team do a reasonable job with limited resources, yes they could do better but it may mean that we would have to pay some sort of subscription to help fund the site. This is something that should not happen because the people that need it most are the people that cannot afford to pay. I have found that they do react if you flag a post as abuse and I would encourage you to do that whenever you feel the need.

I have a friend on MSE that is quite well know in the threads they frequent. They also have another issue in their life that they are trying to resolve and there are other threads on here that could help them find a way but they are scared of being identified with this stigma. By allowing one user name per ISP address you would take away their chance of help should they be brave enough to sign on with another user name so as not to be easily identified. For this reason alone I would not want MSE to go down that route.

I really do admire you a great deal and cannot believe how hard you are working to survive, and with so little sleep - just amazing! I hope you will take my comments above in good faith.

Guys, let's please get back to what this thread and board is about.

The Forum Team's receiving too many reports from people all claiming each other is a bully. As is often said, the Forum Team doesn't have the wisdom of solomon to work out who's said what so if it continues the Team may have to take further steps to simply put a stop to it all, removing everyone involved from the forum.

Please don't let it come to that as many of you have made a great, adult and grown-up contribution to the forum and it would be a shame to lose that.

Nohope, if you feel there are reports the Forum Team needs to see then please report them to abuse@.

As you say NoHope, this is your personal account of your real and traumatic journey - please continue to post to help you on your journey and remember that you have many people who offer their support to you here on MSE - trolling by anyone is wrong but as the Troll Message and MSE Andrea says please do not feed the trolls, but ignore them and report them to abuse so they can deal with them - this is good advice, as without your response, trolls lose their power over you

This site, especially the DFW and Bankruptcy forums, is here for vunerable people to seek advice, help and support - I do hope it stays like that, for everyone's sake
