Have three children who are lovely but drive me to a glass of red wine every night. I reckon I have been dieting since 1995 and have lost about 5LB! Have about a stone to lose. Need to speed up! Am up for challenge
May I put my two-penn'orth in and say first of all, there's no wonder if you fall by the wayside by 11am if you're not eating before then.
One of the best breakfasts is porridge made with skimmed milk - it's healthy, low-fat and has slow release energy to keep you full for longer.
You need lots of energy to cope with 3 lively children, so you need food which provides it for you - protein such as meat or fish with complex carbs such as wholegrain bread and brown rice and your 5 portions of fruit and veg every day, and around ¾ pint of skimmed milk.
Drink at least 2 litres of water each day - if you don't care for water much, try it hot with a slice of lemon, it's very refreshing!
Changing the way you shop, cook and eat are fundamental to a new healthier lifestyle, and you will see the weight fall off.
If anyone is interested, there is a lose weight thread on the "I wanna" board with lots of like-minded folk, on lots of different slimming plans. Feel free to join us there - the more the merrierI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
:hello: Hi everyone, how are you all doing?
Welcome Astonsmummy from us all - I wish you every success in the challenge.
:j :j :j Well done johanne on your loss - keep it up.
Good for you Sultry 33 your diet sounds like you are on the right track.
I've had a S*d of a day today. OH has finally had the OK to go back to work and landed a good job almost immediately. So I worked last night and he then left for work at 8.30 - that left me with no sleep and in charge of 3 livewires for the day. I am knackered and have really struggled today not to pick but succumbed to a gorgeous thick cheese sandwich this afternoon. Even though I had had a sensible lunch and breakfast my head was banging that much that I gave in. Having an ice cold tinny or two tonight before I go up as I am that tired I will not be able to sleep otherwise..
Anyway, enough rambling - Goodluck all on the up coming-weigh ins. xxxIf you are patient in one moment of anger, you will escape 100 days of sorrow.......Chinese proverb

I would be interested in joining a challenge to loose weight without joining weight watchers yet again. I have all the books and paraphanalia. I just need some help in getting motivated. I agree with what someone said earlier, loosing weight for me always means I spend more because I have been brain washed into thinking I need to be weighed by someone else, buy there magazine and all of their tasteless low everything food. I would like to try and do it on the cheap.0
