    So far today I've had;

40g bowl of WW branded muesli with semi milk (170kcals),
    Ham salad sandwich (250kcals),
    Small yogurt (100kcals)
Large plate of chinese chicken stirfry (800kcals).

The stirfry is not exactly "diet" food but is was sooooo tasty I couldnt say no. So my total for today is 1320kcals, which means I have 180kcals left so maybe later for supper I'll have a cup of tea (with SUGAR!) and one biscuit or maybe a piece of toast.
I'm really suprised how well I'm doing considering I used to munch so much during the day. I wouldnt think anything of having a cup'a'soup and eating six pieces of toast (to dip in it, YUM) or eating three or four packets of crisps, or have a double breakfast sandwich three days in a row. I was a serious PIG.
I miss being able to eat whatever I want and sod the consequences, but its not like I'm forcing myself to only eat diet or fat free foods, I really can eat what I want as long as I stick to those magic maximum calories (or below if poss).
Now we have to wait and see if I've lost anything this week, last week I didnt as it was my hubbies birthday (cake, need I say more?) and I have to say it really knocked my confidence. Roll on weigh day I say :D

    Hello :)

I generally have museli and semi skimmed for breakfast, a tin of healthy soup for lunch, a couple of apples/grapes through the day, a brown roll with the soup if i'm feeling flush and dinner with my OH in the evening (I always cook from scratch, so generally relatively healthy). We usually have either angel delight or jelly for desert ;)

Have lost 8kg since i stopped sandwhiches for lunch and swopped to soup. I don't think bread agrees with me :(

I cant stop eating bread, homemade of course.I dont like shop bread if ya know what I mean,e.g kingsmills, hovis and any other stodgy cr*p. But I love my homemade breadbuns when they just come out the oven with a nice bit of Lurpak on em.YUMMY!!

I bet I could lose a good few pounds just by cutting bread out of my diet, but how do ya make a sarnie without bread?

    Hi
Has anyone managed to lose weight themselves without having to pay each week to go to a slimming club? I have joined WW in the past and managed to lose a few pounds but then I find i am struggling each week to afford the £5 fee!
Can it be done without going to a club? My OH is very slim and tells me to just cut right down(yes I know that is the answer but it is easier said than done!).I am not massively overweight but definately need to get rid of a stone!!!!!!!!
    Thanks everyone

Buy a GI diet book - the best are by Rick Gallop - there's a pocket guide on https://www.bookdepository.co.uk for £3.89 including delivery. Rick Gallop uses a "traffic light" system, and VERY EASY TO FOLLOW. You can have loads of the foods in the green section, not much of the amber section, and none/almost none of the red. You can get a more detailed guide, but who can be bothered to read them! This has the basics, it's cheap, and I've lost 2 stone in 2 months - on my own, for the first time ever! You don't need to weight or measure ANYTHING! Slimming Clubs don't work for me - you sit there for an hour or more and talk about....... what? That's right, FOOD! It just makes me want to eat! Good luck!

I can't eat Hovis or Kingsmill either - they smell a bit funny and make me retch :(

Open sandwhiches are they way ahead though. Less bread, more healthy filling! or lettuce wraps, or pittas. Woooo!

YAY I`ve lost 3lbs this week.Think it must of come off my big toe,I hate when you lose weight even a couple of pounds and cant see any difference.

I`m hoping to lose 2 pounds every week, more if I can but I will be extremely happy with 2 pounds.

What day is everyone weighing in at and posting their weightloss?

:j :T :j :T Well done Hazzie 123. That is a brilliant loss for a week. Don't worry that it it not noticeable yet, just picture in your mind 3 x 1 lb packets of lard  and feel good because that isn't in your system any more:dance:

I think we are pretty much divided by Monday/Friday for weigh-ins from what I can see, but I was tinkering with the idea of awarding virtual medals for all those who do loose the stone before xmas. What do you think?

I worked last night and allthough I only ate fruit there I am in my usual mode of craving sweetnes at the moment as I haven't long got up. On the plus side I power walked home this morning for half an hour and I feel pretty darned good about that. I'm going to nake us a low fat :shhh: VERY HOT chilly for tea and once the kids have gone to bed I am looking forward to a long hot soak in the bath.

I hope the rest of you are doing OK :A
