Get a cheap flight to Egypt.

I went there recently and have lost a stone through being ill. Not a good way but if you're desperate!!!!

I applaud everyone who has the willpower to diet on 'their own.' I just can't do it. Tried and failed so many times. I have however, lost almost 90lb with WW. Not much more to go. I am almost looking forward to NOT having to go every week to be weighed, truth be told. Once I get to target I think I'll just go once a month - but I know I will struggle to stick to my diet on the weeks I don't go. I suppose you could call me a WW addict, need the 'fix' :rotfl:

Down to 13st 3 and 3 quarters so it's a start - 1 and a quarter pounds off. Not too bad seen I went on a course for part of the week where all food was provided - and nice!

My problems tend to be the weekend and Monday because I work nights over the weekend and only have about 2 hours sleep on a Monday morning so I'm really tired and tend to just snack on things instead of having a proper meal which would fill me up.
On a Saturday I tend to get up around 6 and go to bed again about 4 the following morning so I need 4 meals rather than 3. The same on Sunday although I do get a lie-in until around 10. Any ideas anyone?

    Good morning all,:hello:
Another 1lb off, disappointing for me, but hey ho a pound is a pound.
I've had a week off last week and still feel as tired now as I did last weekend and am thinking that a change of job is on the cards. The problem is not the work itself but doing the nights on Mon, Wed and Friday. With 3 little ones at home and hubby back at work :j :j :j getting enough sleep is a real problem for me. Hubby now works 12 - 8pm six days a week so my options are rather limited because of childcare, particularly holidays and if one of them is ill.
Hi juliejim, One tip I have picked up from here (I can't scroll back far enough to see who it was from) was to drink ice cold water and I have found that this helps after my nights and I also found that making a meal e.g., beans on toast when I get up hungry after my sleep helped me the last week I was working - rather than picking.
:T :T well done for the loss though - that's brilliant.
Anyway enough of me prattling on, good luck to all weighing in today.

    Hi
Has anyone managed to lose weight themselves without having to pay each week to go to a slimming club? I have joined WW in the past and managed to lose a few pounds but then I find i am struggling each week to afford the £5 fee!
Can it be done without going to a club? My OH is very slim and tells me to just cut right down(yes I know that is the answer but it is easier said than done!).I am not massively overweight but definately need to get rid of a stone!!!!!!!!
    Thanks everyone

    portion control

i'v started to recognise when i'm getting full and i stop eating, then 8 hours later my body will tell me i'm hungry again so i eat.

basically i listen to my body and its worked, i'v lost 16lbs in two months.

and i'v still managed the odd treat but instead of say eating the whole choc bar i have one square. that means one bar will last a week if i have one square a day.
it only works if you take your time with food too. dont eat it too fast else your brain wont have time to figure out your hungry and you will eat more
