Heating not on yet although my wife was a bit cold this afternoon. Supposed to be sunny this week and we get plenty of direct sunlight through windows so shouldn't need to put it on this week hopefully.

Generally don't put thermostat higher than 18C although sometimes it can feel cold downstairs but the thermostat which is upstairs doesn't agree so it may get nudged up to 19C for a while.

who needs heating on in this weather, mine ain't going on till the first snow fall.
  • Heating is for wimps.
Unfortunately I am a wimp. Working outside all day I do feel the cold but when I home, if I put the gas fire on I'm asleep in 10 minutes. Got one of them carbon monoxide thingies which assures me everything is O.K. and I wake up (eventually) so it must be. The downside is that I wake about about 2 or 3 in the morning, the only thing to do then is put the T.V. on and improve my sign reading skills.

  • I've been trying to hold off, but it's gone cold the last few days (for me who's been used to Middle East temps for 5 years), so I switched on the oil ch and it's not working :o Phonecall to letting agent in morning
  • My DH said he was a bit cold this evening and asked if I would put the heating on. I waited a while and he admitted he has forgotton how! Caught him looking at the controls with a torch - pressing all the buttons it was all mixed up!!! I had to reset it all which took me ages (wink, wink) Have asked him not to touch it again as it takes soooooo long for me to reset it all. HEHE
Now it's up to me!! Great for moneysaving!!

No chance. Its still way too hot in bed at night.

To be honest we don't use the heating much anyway in our house, I'd much rather put more clothes on or dressing gown and snuggle up with my boyfriend under a duvet on the sofa or in bed and watch dvds/play games, or get in a nice hot bath together, not so keen on the summer as its too hot to snuggle, bring on the winter so I can get more cuddles. Heating just goes on for an hour boost when we feel really really cold, maybe a hour a day when it gets really cold perhaps.

The heating feels so artificial in my opinion, if we go visiting my boyfriends family, for example, its like an oven and i feel suffocated and often makes me feel ill. I can't beleive how hot and sweaty I feel sometimes when they say its freezing and turn the heating up, and I feel like im gonna pass out, if only they gave turning it off a chance they'd get used to it and become less reliant on it. I like it to feel kinda cool and fresh and natural, and luckily everyone else here feels the same (my boyfriend and sister).

No heating on here, still have open windows day and night, in fact I am still in t-shirts and shorts most days so hopefully we will manage into November before putting it on :T

I must admit last night I was a bit on the chilly side but I still didn't put the heating on. I'll try and last out a bit longer.
