Tesco misprice discussion area part 11

How have people got on that have had a full refund (and given the stuff back) and only got their receipt to prove they were overcharged?

Has anyone managed to get their R&R through HO this way?

Advice needed ASAP please

my local store has had the posters up and (nearly) all the consoles/games in stock, but the discount has always come off

strangely they have never had the psp base pack in stock though

looks like my store is very on the ball with their offers as I couldnt find one single missprice anywhere at the weekend

Honest geezer,

There are Tesco stores in Barrhead, Kilbirnie, Irvine, 2 in Kilmarnock and one in Ayr. Have yourself a day out.

It was on a promotional price with yellow barker and some packs also had 50% free. Kicked myself that I didn't buy a few packs actually, but by the time I realised I should have got more, the price had gone back up. Oh well, back to Tesco's own!

I suggest Honest Geezer phones the branches first and asks for stock confirmation, then sure, drive over to see if poster up, or look for the yellow 3"x2" sign "Save £20 when you buy console and game".

Am sure branch will reserve a console and game for you ( suggest you ask for two games ie gotw and another just so they dont twig :j ). Get the staff person's name, give your childs name to reserve it, and drive over. ( dont give your surname !!:p

If HG or anyone else wishes to follow my advice above and chooses not to bother with C/S after you collect both items, he/she can go back again and again until Thursday at least for more !!! I reckon the Tesco instore computer system reorders stock of a console overnight as and when sold,( may take a few days to come in to branch - just keep phoning)

PS I am hitting 6 stores again today, but they wont see me or hear me squeek at C/S. My camamraphone will get full soon of the poters and sel's !!!

So supposing those six stores all have the "power three" (console+gotw+poster) are you going to get a console in every one?

If so how are you going to pull that off with head office?

Different names and addresses etc?

Cant imagine them giving you six xboxes wether you threaten them with TS in writing or not

Yes. Value of my R&R goods, PLUS any travel costs back and forth to store, plus phone call costs, postage costs, plus interest at 8% and doont forget to put compensation in for at least £50. A judge may not give you the compensation bit but it goes to "persuade" Tesco to settle out of court and THEY may pay you your full claim including that little bonus £50 ( or more if you dare ). Kinda depends if your claim is for a 94p item or for a £320 console/game .

Lets all consider beeing silent R&Rers and not receive hastle from staff at C/S and not only this but they wont ban us, intimidate us and the error sel will stand for a few more days or so. Sadly unsuspecting buyers will be overcharged unless they diligently look at there receipts......but C/S will be banning a lot of innocent customers during tihs clamp-down period of their !

Hope my advice hits home to us loyal tesco unpaid regulators from whom Tesco prefer to ban us rather than appreciate the illegal breaches of the Sale of Goods Act the Consumer protection Act 1987 and the Price Code Order 2004.

Hope Tesco will cancel the silly agressive banning idea and take us all on board as we save them from prosecutions by Trading Standards.

Issuing our own summonses at County Court is very cheap £50 fee or so initially, but "FREE" if you are on WorkingFamilyTaxCredit or better still Income Support. And if you are, then a lawyer is FREE also if you really want to give a professional aproach to it. A Solicitor letter may better evoke a full refund from H/O than even having to issue a summons. Smile people.....no more harrasment or intimidations at C/S....wwoooooooohhhhhahahahha !!!:T

Would not recommend this unless you want to put your future R&Ring in doubt with a nationwide store ban or lose your clubcard points (as per the tax fella).

But - each to their own!

I wont likely see stock of console and a gotw in all but1, but 1 store will be ok. My "finders Fee" will be one console/gotw IF IF IF it goes through till as overcharge. All this work for Tesco and I dont get paid a wage, when their price integrity team are being challenged by me. We as unpaid "special shoppers" could notify TEsco H/O of 5 stores compliant to their own pricing ontegrity checks, and we should be given special thankyou letters.

Tomorrow (Tuesday) they will announce huge profits of over 1 billion, for sure the TV camara's will be at branches interviewing customers. Usually 9am to 10am if you can get to your larger branches. Please prepare your best angelic :A speech and keep it legal and not antagonistic. Taxiphil mentioned his 5 minutes of fame in earlier post, can he wear a badge "MSE" so we can say Hi !!
