Why don't I believe a word of this post ?

    I love the spelling !
    Perhaps because you also read:
If you can't afford children you should not have them.
Always remember 'benefits' are other people's money, money that is taken off hardworking people. All benefits should be a loan, to be paid back.
Tony Martin is a hero to most of the people I know i.e. farmers and small business people. He shot scum defending his property...
...and it goes on. Please let's keep this thread a troll-free zone :)
    Can I help?

How strange that you should be the one to see this. And how strange that the woman you spoke to in the queue (not a member of Tesco staff, of course, since they would be too honourable to discuss another customer with you) waited around long enough to see the entire affair, easily over half an hour. She was also lucky enough to have overheard all the details. How pleasantly fortuitous for you both.

Do I believe this tale? Probably not.

the lady herd me asking the staff what had happened, she told me what she had seen I did not ask her. Also I was not waiting a long time it was the end that i saw. there are usually large ques at customer services, I did not ask the lady why she had seen it all.

Went in my local Tescos .......A lady who had been in the customer service cue said the man had tried to claim an R&R.

Yet another poster trying to sabotage this thread.

My OH who eats free sirloin and chicken most evenings, plays on a free PS2 and (ocassionally) uses the gratis Dyson wouldn't have a clue what r&r stood for, so an average customer in a cue(sic) ......... I think not.

I'd be delighted if I was proven wrong, name of store, time, any details you care to provide.

We've had Tesco employees posting similar sagas all of which prove unfounded in the end.

Please if you don't agree with r&r that's fine, but purposely trying to have this thread closed down is just silly.
  • Does anyone smell something bad around here? Hmm....It smells like....cats? No...not cats. Dogs? No...definitely not dogs. Bulls? Yep, that's it. That's the smell of BS.

But you did say "If thats what you R&Rers get up to"

Which means you were tarring us all with the same brush.

*Nothing more to say on the matter*
    Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently! ;)

A two pound price hike? unlikely dont you think?

Surely things like this dont just go up by £2 all of a sudden?

Strikes me that they saw there was 50% extra in the pack so charged 50% on the price despite the pack saying the 50% was "free"

(and to all those pedantic ones out there, I realise £2 isnt 50%! )

Cant see any other reason for the sudden hike in prices.

I might be able to throw some light on this one, as I bought a pack of these. They were on promotion at the lower price and some of the packs had 50% off - a good deal I thought. The promotion has now finished, although there are still a few of the 50% off packs around - saw them yesterday. :D
