Sorry but its this bit I dont understand...derektrophy wrote:If HG or anyone else wishes to follow my advice above and chooses not to bother with C/S after you collect both items, he/she can go back again and again until Thursday at least for more !!!
What would be the point of going back "again and again"?
Surely you are only gonna get one Xbox out of them?
How would someone who follows you advice and goes back "again and again" stand as regards R&Rs on the mutiple items?
I cant see how writing to CS threatening with legal action will make them just hand over 3 or 4 xboxes to the same person surely it would be obvious you were aware of the overcharge and exploiting the system?Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -
Don't forget guys n' gals, It's Tesco staff pay day tomorrow, so there could be a Staff shortage either tomorrow morning, or Wednesday morning (hangovers etc) Hopefully there will be lots of Out of date SEL's left up!!
MOO HA HA HA! (that's supposed to be an evil laugh, but every time I read it back it makes me think of a cow!)
Sig ah Sig Ahhh0 -
thanks Chris. Valid question. One console and one letter of complaint at a time. If I can help improve the way C/S treat ALL customers, this would be a victory alone. (but i doubt it will). You made me think, and therefore I promise to give any extra consoles away eg to hospitals or hostels for homeless. It will be a condition that they allow me to write on their behalf to H/O. You see, once the item is given away, I transfer with it all my legal rights if it became faulty and too the warranty and any legal redress of any breach of the law by said shop. ie overcharge.
I encourage you all to prepare a legally worded letter of your own outlining to Tesco H/O of your appaling treatment and how upset you are, and so nearly phoned the newspaper about it all, but alas you wrote to them, to give them a chance of settling it all amicably and with an apology.
And if not , a second letter about Court. and if no response, a 3rd letter reminding them of T/S and that you WILL issue summons in 7 days unless they settle your claim before. Hope that helps.0 -

Apologies if I got that wrong Constantine but I do recall something along those lines.MyUserNamesTaken wrote:Actually, Constantine has answered this question before. Stores can override the central pricing database. It's how some stores got around the Just Cause/Xbox 360 problem - they altered the database in their own stores to take off the £20 at the till.Constantine wrote:^What they all said^
Thanks, saved me the effort
So why don't they all update computers individually instead of removing the posters? If they are supposed to be carrying the promotion, surely HO should be telling them to do an urgent manual update rather than just taking down the poster? Am I just being thick?0 -
I heard on the radio this morning that Tesco are apparently going to be releasing their own brand of software for PC users "in competition with Microsoft"
Another example of how Mr T has his sights on world domination!Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -

Um...I wish it was, but unfortunatly, it is not.Who or what was I before you came in to my life
I am not sure0 -
Hi derektrophy.
I'm intrigued by your stance on the xbox fiasco. Have you been fully refunded on any, like hundreds of others have by approaching the CS, being knocked back, speaking to HO and returning for the £319.94.
You seem to be deliberately antagonising Tesco and therefore facing a ban.
Lots of people with lots of previous have had no ban at all, in fact many talk about the niceness of the store managers (after they've been shouted at by HO!)
Did you MSe r&r under a different guise before this started or are they threatening to ban you for one event. In which case would it not have been better to just get the refund as so many others of us did without incident?
Or are you just looking foreward to your day in court?
Personally if I were Tesco I would settle, pay you the cost of the machine and expenses and ban you. That way you're stopped from r&r'ing in the future.
Why didn't you just take the refund that would have been offered eventually?
Maybe I'm thick but this was easy pickings, you've just complicated it for yourself.0 -
Actually if anyone likes to phone their local TV channel I am sure they would invite you into chat about your "ordeals" with your pile of previous overcharge receipts and list of overcharges!!!
1 billion £££££££ profits will surely hit all the News and TV and newspapers Tuesday to Wednesday.:
Dont some of them TV shows pay you an appearance fee/hotel/travelling expenses to appear on daytime TV. Good luck you fellow MSE members...can I get your autograph0 -

Sorry mate but I think you have lost the plot.
What on earth are you talking about ?
This thread is on the "Quick, grab it while you can" forum.
Your going all the way down the slow lane.
In the time you messed about and spent money others will have R&R'ed the trolley off of Tesco.
Why do people assume that Tesco wil settle out of court to avoid bad publicity ?
Like any sleeping giant, beware before you awaken.
Who do you think has deeper pockets ?
And what about the spin doctors ?
Don't think they will turn it around and make it look like R&R's are the culprits, and they are taking a stand against them ?
Sir Terry wrote an article for The Sun newspaper on Saturday, who's side of the story do you think they would publish ? ( May have more luck with Evening Standard as they are running a save our local shops campaign)
No offence mate, but you sure this is the easiest way to R&R ?Back to square one, no apg, no comment.0
