Last week I purchased a PSP and GOTW was incorrectly merchandised as Cars instead of Tekken. The customer care girl said I could get a refund on the game only. I asked for the manager and he pointed out that Cars wasn't game of the week.. some customer must have moved the game. He pointed out the bar code wasn't yellow. I asked what GOTW was and he said there wasn't one. I pointed out they should have the promotion up. By this time he was getting quite snotty and ranted on about a regular who takes advantage of their good nature. I asked him to take my details and refer my complaint to HO.

I went off on holiday for a few days and got no call from the manager.

Chased up with him and he said he thought I had been back in (confused with someone else?) He stuck to the party line about a refund on the game only. On to HO today and despite several calls I was told Kevin Kelly would call me back but he was busy with other customers!

I will persist !!!

When people mention their "local" it may help others if they tell everyone what store they went to.

no not yet gonna try to push it a bit more....and failing that gonna get in touch with trading standards and the advertising authority.. you get 28 days to return for your money back so im gonna try my best to get it before the time is up..

It would, but it would also help Tesco identify the stores and the people involved. That's why people tend not to name the stores themselves.


It's not in Manchester, if that's any help to you...nowhere near, in fact. more like a 10 hour round trip for you.

Nooooo! I thought it was just the old game of the week's that I needed to look out for. Could've bagged myself an Xbox today Hopefully they'll still be there tomorrow!

The GOTW is The Godfather. However, the wording on the poster has definitely changed. It does look more like the discount is off the game only. I'd still argue it, though, as you have to buy both items for the discount to kick in, thus you are overcharged on the bundle as a whole.

SURELY IF YOU LET THE MANAGER KNOW THAT THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN A PROMOTION UP THEN HE WILL BELIEVE THAT YOU KNOW MORE THAN YOUR LETTING ON AND HAVE DROPPED YOURSELF IN IT
