Tesco misprice discussion area part 11

The other week I bought a nintendo ds lite and the GOTW and guess what, i was OVERCHARGED! I emailed tescos complaining about this and they said we are sorry you were overcharged for your GAME go to the shop where you got it and they will give you a refund and let you keep the item. How can I get the console too? It was a package was it not? Does anyone have any tips on what to say + I will thank you if you help me. :-)

Yesterday I bought "untold legends PSP game" at store 1, stickered at 19.97 scanned at £24.97...result

Today I picked it up at store 2 (10 miles away), stickered at £19.97 went through at £19.97...........ended up as a return.

Even better though

Today I picked up a Fuji V10 Digital camera at store 1 , SEL £199 SCANNED AT £219.........A RIGHT RESULT

Then I went to store 2 to see if they had the camera mispriced there, SEL was £179 and scanned £179..........dissapointment


How can 2 stores so close together have differing prices?

same thing happened to me yesterday....SEL said 29.97 but i was charged 24.70 how on earth can different branches have such different prices? mine was a fiver cheaper than yours, surely it should be one price for every branch?

Went back to Tesco's to get some more washing powder..shock horror the yellow clearance sel had been removed so that there was not a price displayed for this product at all. I got a box scanned and it came up as £4.57 not £1.18 as per yesterdays sel. I didn't buy it but I spoke to customer services about this explained that I had not come back to get another refund on this and was happy to pay £1.18 as I had seen previously as it was such a good price (the CS person knew because they served me yesterday) to my delight CS said they would sell me the 3 remaining boxes for £1.18 each.

Not as good as a refund but they didn't have to sell me it for that price & I am a happy bunny.

Also got the Try me Free cod from the fresh fish chiller thanks to OP

That last one makes me question whether Tesco has a daily R&R report to stores to change prices???

I'm fairly sure that a number of Mr T's employees use the misprice threads and arrange overnight corrections. Why else would they take all the SEL's away from mobiles, Clear the DVD/CD aisles??? I have no problem with them doing this. They are just using the R&Rers observational skills to their benefit.

Personally, I try not to abuse the system, but call in about weekly to look specifically for R&R's. Only do a couple at each visit....prefer not to be greedy, and accept that mr T is the only retailer brave enough to hold his hands up and give you the goods as well as a refund. Still shop at Mr T's, but the wife does that...just hope they improve the quality of the fruit and veg...looks great but lacks any real taste. Seriously thinking of getting fresh produce elsewhere.

the Camera is Fuji V10 5Megapixel and the price has been lowered again to £179.97 until 10th January 2007 - I know 'cause i just went and had a look for myself! Its a Yellow SEL but it seems the price only went up for a day, then back down until next year!

It's more likely that the list of refunds they have made is checked and if there are a lot of errors in one area e.g. cd / dvds then they check this area. Or they get stung by some large r&rs in the store and decide to sort their pricing out. In my local store there are hardly any sels up on the cds and dvds only hope I've got is wrong stickered products.
