I would disagree with this. The offer expiry date is not relevant. It is down to the retailer to remove out of date POS and SELs. They cannot charge a higher price than that indicated on the shelf. One more thing to point out: if HO, CS, etc, come up with "Offer's out of date" as an excuse for not giving a full refund, remind them that in many stores, if an offer is extended, the SEL remains in place with an expired date on it. Thus, it is no longer reasonable to expect an offer to end when the SEL says it will. See the current promotions in the BW&S section to see what I mean.

    easier said than done !

If it was a small ticket item then I am sure they would relent, but for £220 its going to be a struggle.

I wouldn't say so. I've had high value refunds on the basis that an out of date offer was left up. It really depends on how confident and determined you are.

A misprice is a misprice there are no conditions set to r&r to exclude items.

That maybe true, but you are giving general advice and making it seem oh so simple, sometimes CS in Dundee just won't budge and nor will stores, you ghive the impression to newbies that every misprice is an open and shut case- it is not !

The x-box fiasco saw CS (Kevin Kelly turn down claims with expired SELs

If it's mispriced it's r&r no if's or but's. If you want to be fobbed of by Dundee and do nothing about it then that's fine, but you don't have to.

As for the advice I give it is accurate and consistant. Check back through the threads to see for yourself, follow it and you will get what you are entitled to, but of course you are not obliged to do so and it's no loss to me if you don't, yes often it is general but that is because the advice sought is generally general {sorry couldn't resist that} When specific advice is sought that is normally met with specific answers, that's what we do here we answer when others ask.

And yes it is simple most of the time in fact in case you hadn't noticed since the xbox saga it has become far easier to obtain r&r if your case is genuine, that is no coincidence I assure you, if you want to see a dancer perform well switch the spotlight on for an award winning performance.

Yes indeed you do, I prefer to do so once my refund has been given.
