    Hiya...

I know im totally off the topic of whats being discussed at the moment, but im quite new to this tesco thing, and i was wondering, if i bought something at one tesco, and was overcharged, do i have to return it to the same store to get the R&R, or can i take it to any?

    Thanks

Take it back to the same one, and quickly!
Unless it has some kind of price printed on the box like the PC;s last year!

I have a few I keep an eye on, and have benefited from SELs that are out of date and still up at 10 - 11am the day after expiry. But I would say 9am is the earliest you should try an out of date SEL.

The store's customer service desk will open at 8am so I wouldn't try before then!

Whether th CS desk is open or not, you need to make it known you have been overcharged asap and before someone gets chance to remove the SEL's

In my tesco today when getting my refund on bold (see other thread) CS said Tesco lost out on £10.000.00 on PSP's last month due to wrong advertising. " What's a PSP said I" LOL ,I thought of all you guys and wish I had the nerve to go for something that big!!

There is no in between and no time span to change the labels!

    Martini,

with the greatest respect to you, it is my job to know when the labels should be changed by and what the limits are.

Lets just use an example. Another poster has stated quite correctly that it is also wrong to show a price that is higher than the one charged at the till. So if Tesco is advertising a 90" LCD TV at £15 but selling it for £10 then they are wrong, if the price then increases to £30 at 12am precisely, when would you suggest that the label should be changed. The price changes all occur simultaneously and during a promotion change that can be upwards of 900 products.....should all the labels be changed at exactly the same time?

It is obviously not feasible to change all the labels at the exact time of increase hence the timeframe which exists whereby all labels should be changed.

Then shouldn't Mr.t ensure all the sels are changed before price is increased?

Had my first r+r monday 2 brown faux suade lamps, also had twister and buckaroo today £1.9x each.

I went looking for KP nuts 20% extra the other day and found the sel removed - someone got there before me obviously - shame I like nuts. However, back in store today doing some regular shopping and I see there is still no price on the kp nuts shelf - I thought shops were obliged to display prices ? A / The Price Marking Order comes to mind but what should one do - complain and to whom?
Obviously if there are no sels then we cant get R&Rs but equally how are you supposed to know if you can aford it or not?

Also has anyone noticed that the price of meat seems to have gone up quite a bit - I found mispriced stuff but all of it was less than the sel!

Right, if that was then done there would be complaints about the fact that
    a) customers were being undercharged
    b) customers are not aware of the promotions because tesco are changing the labels early.

For instance how would you feel if you missed out on a BOGOF offer because the label had been changed to avoid an overcharge the following day?
