At less when you are going to spam a company tell people via PM and not allowing member "TescoEmployee" to see them, so he cant (call Tecso Head Office and say stop that, that price is wrong) lol

You lot go and get some free stuff off Tesco.[/

But the point of the misprice thread(and there I go, starting a sentence with a preposition, for shame!)is to alert people against being OVERCHARGED.

Either we want to be charged correctly, or we are complicit in known overcharging;the case can be made.

My shopping never consists of electrical/computer/'phone thingies anyway.

Pastures revisited - false economy kingsize or multi-purchases:
Own brand toilet paper - 12 rolls NOT cheaper than 3x4.
200 gm coffee NOT cheaper than 2x100gm(café noir, I think)

I would not go out of my way to see tesco has a game that is mispriced, I go to GAME and Play.com for my games as they are much better, but after reading all the stories here, I will keep my eyes open in Tesco. :rolleyes2 *looking for a mispriced item or items*

What you will find on Page 1 Post 1 of this thread is Tescos statement, which informs you of their policy.....something that is now widely known as RandR.....refund and replace.....now more commonly known as refund and retain......they refund you your money, you retain the goods.

You should also see this policy statement near the bottom of the big blue board which is usually situated behind the Customer Services desk in most Tesco stores, or on an A4 poster near the tills.

Thanks, I had read page 1, but could not find the statement at the store .
    I will now happily R&R when I can !
    Cheers

Tinkerbell - R&R does not apply to Tesco.com

Ayrton - The policy applies to ALL stores, including that massive Extra in Pitsea. Interesting fact - Pitsea Extra was Tesco's first Extra. When it was built, it was the largest Tesco in the UK. I remember when that opened. That place is HUGE. Crap car park, though...

Incidentally, a friend of mine gets R&Rs in there... Don't forget Tesco Basildon. From what my friend says, Pitsea is fairly on the ball. Basildon, however, is easy pickings.

    Thanks for the info.
They have just made the store even bigger! I've never had a problem parking though - must be lucky. I will try the small one that you recommend as I am equal distance from both.
    Cheers

If it isn't at customer services it is often at the individual till on a 8inch blue sign which is all about your rights, refunds etc. It's at the end with the heading " If things don't add up....."

I do not know where you stand but -

I had a problem but I avoided customer services and wrote directly to Mr Leahy. I received a letter of apology and a £15 money card for the way I had been treated. It took about a month for his reply but I did get a reply in the meantime from CS telling me that he would be writing in due course.

    Tesco Head Office address is

    Sir Terry Leahy (MD)
    TescoPLC
    New Tesco House
    Delamare Rd.
    Cheshunt
    EN8 9SL

    terry.leahy@uk.tesco.com

Tesco Head Office telephone number is 0800 505555
    Customer services email address: customer.service@tesco.co.uk
    Address CS Centre
    Baird Avenue
    Dundee
    DD2 3TN

Try Nick Johnson Customer Service Executive.

I did cc Terry Leahy in with my email so I'll wait a few days and then copy in another email to Nick Johnson- anyone know his email address.

Sorry, but here's a few more questions for the seasoned R&Rers. Both relate to yellow SELs and I apologise if they've already been answered but the thread is sooooo long.

    1. I presume that the offer expires at midnight on the date stated? If so when do the tills get changed. Is it automatically done at midnight? Is it automatic but at a random time? Or do individual stores do it themselves?
    ...
Just wanting to get a few facts right before I start shopping;)

I have a 24 hr store near me can I go at 1 minute past midnight after the sel has expired and get that flat screen tv I've always wanted?

CS shuts at 10, and a high value rr would at least need a mangers authority..but hey, worth a go..1 question, how u going drag a tv to the self scaner to make sure the discount doesn't come off ?
Back to square one, no apg, no comment.

ooro, the stores tills normally run a batch job which takes from 1-3 hours to fully update, so probably best to go at 4am at the earliest to be sure the new prices have (hopefully) increased.

Unfortunately it doesnt work quite like that, firstly the tills dont update at precisely midnight and there is a legal timespan within which the labels can be changed. Nice try though.
