The policy is on a blue sign at CS saying something like
"and if things don't add up" near to bottom of sign.
Also displayed at till points in some stores.
It doesn't say "r&r" thats what we call it,

Hi, I have spent a while looking at this thread and wondered if there could be a Q&A at the top of the thread that would put all the useful info about how to R&R in one place.

I have a specific question that I have not found an answer to : I searchged in my local Tesco (Pitsea) and could not find any sign anywhere mentioning R&R. I looked at the (new) customer services section and could find nothing either. I also looked on the Tesco website and could find nothing either. Is the policy applicable to all stores ?

    Cheers

Tinkerbell - R&R does not apply to Tesco.com

Ayrton - The policy applies to ALL stores, including that massive Extra in Pitsea. Interesting fact - Pitsea Extra was Tesco's first Extra. When it was built, it was the largest Tesco in the UK. I remember when that opened. That place is HUGE. Crap car park, though...

Incidentally, a friend of mine gets R&Rs in there... Don't forget Tesco Basildon. From what my friend says, Pitsea is fairly on the ball. Basildon, however, is easy pickings.
In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?

You won't find anything in Tescos or online Tescos referred to as RandR.

RandR is a term used on this forum, and by RandRers.

What you will find on Page 1 Post 1 of this thread is Tescos statement, which informs you of their policy.....something that is now widely known as RandR.....refund and replace.....now more commonly known as refund and retain......they refund you your money, you retain the goods.

You should also see this policy statement near the bottom of the big blue board which is usually situated behind the Customer Services desk in most Tesco stores, or on an A4 poster near the tills.
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

    its very true.
the smaller bas store is pretty good in the small time we've been looking for items.
the pitsea store is renovating at the mo, and the cs desk is a temporary one. could be why the sign isnt as clear as it should be
my 'u' btton is broked

Funnily enough I looked for this in my local store last night as I was hoping for a refund and thought I might need to refer to it. I'm sure it used to be on a wall behind CS but It's not there now. They've either moved it to somewhere less obvious or taken it down completely.

I had a similar thought, but more of a FAQ. The basic principles are pretty well covered in the thread but it might not be a bad idea to pull together regularly asked questions into one place.

Would need someone to take it on tho' and I guess we're all busy shopping;)

Been out bright and early this morning, picked up a couple of cases of Becks Vier lager (very nice it is) on an expired SEL

There were also a lot of wines with offers that ended yesterday but all the ones I picked up scanned at the lower offer price (which is annoying) I thought they were gonna be easy pickings too as all the expired SELs were still in place but turned sideways so a bit was sticking out, I took this to mean they were due to be taken out and replaced so hurried off to the checkout before they got moved , unfortunately they all scanned at the offer price!

So whats the deal with them turning the SELs sideways like that? It was the first time I've noticed it.

Still, I got some beers for the weekend anyway!

    Cheers everyone!

Try looking at the smaller white signs usually around the til area or by the til display, they are the ones with all the credit card signs and whatnot on them, its on there too!

Please can someone explain to me - what or who is the Troll that I keep reading references to and what is the relevance to Tesco R&R?

    Thanks

    The Troll

" person/people who deliberatley post iritating garbage much to the annoyance of regulars here "

Policy is to not feed the troll ( as in send to Coventry, Daventry or anwhere else but here) so just ignore and don't bite.

Personally have been threatned by one said troll, with a knuckle sarnie, charmed i'm sure..have to say it was in response to me saying "shut up".

Moderators(mods) have locked this thread b4 and we regs dont want that to happen, hence the troll problem.
Back to square one, no apg, no comment.
