Sorry to steal The Dude's thunder (I'm sure it'll be fine, he's got enough for two) but can you give some advice on the PDA /GPS combo thingie to a ludite, I was going to buy the TomTom1 £199 in Tesco but would prefer something that did a bit more than just shout directions at me, I've got the OH for that.

Sorry to upset the purists but it is related -sort of!

I`ve got one of these, and cant recommend it highly enough :

GPS, Word, Excel, Media player for videos you name it. No antenna sticking up, good screen and WiFi so I can surf MSE from the comfort of the sofa.

What are the daytime shift patterns for CS staff? anyone know, I wanna pop down and take advantage of this double points thingy, but dont want to go if a certain CS is there? anyone have an Idea?

It will vary. Any time between 8am and 10pm.

Why not hang around outside the staff enterance and stalk them. You could use a PDA to build up a dossier on their routines :D

    I am not sure
  • Customers use PDA's all the time. Better than using paper for a shopping list, no?

I would not be too concerned using one as long as you were resonably subtle.

I wouldn't and never have felt the need to be subtle using my PDA in any store to be honest.

If anyone came over and started flexing I'd just set them straight, if I was using a bar code scanner then i'd understand their concern :D

  • Just got need for speed most wanted for the DS. Advertsised £19.94 and scanned at £19.99.

Was very embarassing! CS had to call down the manager to authorise it.

Then came the classic comment "Your not having much luck with games and dvds recently!"

Dont know what she means by that, Ive only had one refund on a PSP before! Although the missus was with me and she has had a refund on a DS, and a playstation two game.

Think she put two and two together seeing us both in there at the same time.

Wont be going there for a long long time to do any R+R's!

Next time, spread them out, mixed up with the rest of your shop ie one book, followed by one bag of peanuts, then one joint of beef, loaf of bread, another book, another joint of beef, willow farm chicken legs, batteries, more peanuts, another joint of beef (perhaps sirloin this time?), yet another book.

    Get the idea?

....and don't forget the doritos :T

Happiness is wanting what you have, not having what you want.

Good thing Tesco keep down the high cost of living.
