Tesco misprice discussion area part 11

Hey_Dude wrote:I'm getting fed up with wandering around Tesco stores with scraps of paper with scribbled notes on good mis-prices.
Given that a few quid hit The Dude's lap this morning, I'm thinking of going digitial.
Can anyone recommend a decent - but not too expensive - PDA that is fairly discreet - but can easily be used to record details of mis-prices etc.
For instance I was looking at this:
Palm Z22
Is this the kind of thing you Technical Dudes would recommend?
Any other specific products?

My Palm and PDA each have a voice recorder message facility but I much prefer to make quick written notes in my shopping pad. BTW the PDA is my GPS to get me to the r&r stores.
Totally agree, a hand written note is far less conspicuous IMO, especially when carried by a male like me who tries to look like he's doing the shopping for the first time in his male chauvinistic life*...
* I'm not in any way a chauvinist, btw, that's just me getting into the character. I'm a method actor. Lee Strasbourg has a lot to answer for...I spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!0 -
Customers use PDA's all the time. Better than using paper for a shopping list, no?
I would not be too concerned using one as long as you were resonably subtle.Who or what was I before you came in to my life

Sorry to steal The Dude's thunder (I'm sure it'll be fine, he's got enough for two) but can you give some advice on the PDA /GPS combo thingie to a ludite, I was going to buy the TomTom1 £199 in Tesco but would prefer something that did a bit more than just shout directions at me, I've got the OH for that.
Sorry to upset the purists but it is related -sort of!0 -

I picked up a micromark pda with built in gps when Somerfield were knocking them out for silly money at the start of the year (it was about £100 I think, with everything you need in the box). GPS is part of the unit, so nothing to install seperatly in to your car.Who or what was I before you came in to my life
