Also, anybody know if the Leeds Tesco has self service scanners?

I can just imagine getting a nice pile of items ready for R+R only for them go to through the normal tills no problem at their correct price. At least with self service (especially if you're a newbie to this game like me) you can get them taken off if it comes up at the correct price..

I got the XBox and GOTW a couple of weeks ago, and the CS asst just offered me the £20 off. I tried to gently persuade her otherwise but it didn't work, so I accepted it and then phoned HO the next day. I figured that by them giving me the £20 back they've acknowledged that I was overcharged. After emailing over my receipt I was asked to return to store to collect my refund, no hassle at all. So yes, I think your FIL should certainly phone HO.

Absolutely.

Im a student, saving money/getting stuff for free is a godsend for me! Plus I often go on a fortnightly shop, so getting lots/some of cool stuff for free in the process seems silly not to go for.
