FloFlo wrote:Were you phoning about the 10% phone offer?
Sorry, no. I phoned about an overcharged on some Finest ready meals - "Save £1.... discount deducted at checkout". Manager explained that this meant that the discount had already been taken off, despite no mention of the usual price of the product. Refused a refund point blank. HO weren't really interested.0 -
MyUserNamesTaken wrote:Pricing and interpretation of the wording is not up to the individual manager. POS has to be clear and unambiguous. It should be completely clear to the individual what the offer is and what products are on offer. I would phone HO back and also contact TS.
Have reported it to TS. They were much more interested (the entire range has misleading SELs) and said they would look into it, and went into the ins and outs of the criminal offences that may have been committed. I have three of the offending labels in my possession. But no refund of almost £11. Which is what I really wanted.0 -

No. Not on catchweight product. The price is part of the barcode so not possible for it to go through incorrectly.
If you raid your fridge or freezer for a pack, you will see that the price is contained within the last 5 digits of the barcode...eg if the pack price is £4.49 the end of the barcode will be something like 04496.Who or what was I before you came in to my life

GET IN !!!!!!!! thanks very much, been after one of these for a while, this exact model too! nice one mate!
p.s. dont they look at you funny when you take back multiple items in once purchase?
p.p.s. do you look at your reciept then wander to CS looking confused or do you walk out of the store 1st?0 -
Constantine wrote:If you take the line that the price on the pack is correct, then yes it would stop overcharging. The meat will scan at the price it shows on the pack.
Unless as often happens, you get the same product with 2 prices on different packs. Then the retail outlet is still legally obligated to sell ALL the products at the lowest price shown. Unless you wanted a LARGE argument with CS here, you would probably need to include one of the lower priced packs in your trolley along with SEVERAL of the higher priced ones. Result? Buy one, get 5 free! Or BOGFF!!I spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!0 -
Update on a way to get your phone money back with the 10% thing. It just worked for me. If you have a look for one of the "Lets talk about" magazines in there, are all the prices for the mobiles. It shows all the prices as per the phones which are reduced from their higher price and it also shows the L6 at a higher price of £69.99. So I just said "look all the other phones in the magazine are at the higher price and then they are all reduced down by 10%" went through all the ones on display and the higher price all matched those on the reduced from price. So £69.99 is obviously the original price and you have not took the 10% off.
"Would you take the 10% off sir"
"Well no not really, you gave me a full £1 last week when you over charged me on Peanuts!!"
Hope this helpsWe took on Mr T and we won:D
Shame it had to end, will have to get free stuff from comps now :beer:0 -

Thank you for your replys Constantine  ...I will have to take your word about the barcode thing as I have no packs in my fridge/freezer. We have no Tescos in the area.....but if the empire keeps growing I'm sure one will pop up...and when it does....I'll be ready

Also to add the CS girl was fantastic. The section mgr offered me 10% off and I said to her "What would you do?"
She replied "well by rights the policy states you should get the full amount!!"
How funny the look on the section mgrs face was such a picture as he glared at her!!We took on Mr T and we won:D
