Also be aware that from 1 September Virgin are imposing a £700 limit per person and cosmos a £400 limit. So for 2 of you on a Virgin holiday, you would only be able to use £1400 of tokens. Lots of info on PTS.0

Thanks both!
Well we're planning on getting married December 2010 and prob honeymoon January 2011. Booking now had crossed my mind actually, but as I don't often go on holidays (or honeymoons LOL!) I didn't know how far in advance I could book, but that would certainly be an easier option.
I'll check that option out first I think!Dealing with my debts!Currently overpaying Virgin cc -balance Jan 2010 @ 1985.65Now @ 703.63

Oh great, I had no idea you could get them exchanged once they had expired, so threw mine away! There goes £62 of voucher spending!

Bye Bye tescoAim to win in 2013 - a holiday somewhere nice, New York break, treats for family & friends & some cash would be lovely!!!0 -
Well, actually not totally bye bye tesco but not so loyal now.
I would recommend people just convert to airmiles, Virgin and Cosmos will increase prices to anticipate a rush of people converting rewards early to book by 1st Sept.
The more I have looked into airmile the better they sound.Aim to win in 2013 - a holiday somewhere nice, New York break, treats for family & friends & some cash would be lovely!!!0 -
It's on the Tesco Club Card Deals website...click on holidays ...then either Cosmos or Virgin to see the information.davetrousers wrote: »Can you tell me please where you found this info have you got a link?
Thanks
Bit disappointed with this news as may not be worth booking with Cosmos in the future. Had a holiday last year with them, and was waiting for vouchers to arrive to book again for a holiday this winter...the price for the holiday when using deals vouchers is the 'brochure' price and it can be as much as £300/£400 cheaper online ( 1 holiday I looked at was almost £500 cheaper online) but as I almost covered the cost of the holiday with deals vouchers it was virtually a free holiday......so comparing holiday prices online against deals did not matter that much......not good news at all....0 -
Can't believe that they have done this with so little notice. Wholly immoral (imo)......0

i had a few vouchers that went out of date and I was told there was nothing I could do with them when I went to customer services she told me to throw them away as they were useless, apparantly you used to be able to change them for a better date but not anymore so just check to be sure0

I've sent expired/soon to expire vouchers back a few times in the past and had no problem (well a photocopy of the vouchers). Each time they've written back to me and said they'll credit them back and a few days later when I checked my balance online the points were there. I think things might have changed now though. I sent some back in May as did my friend - I got the same standard letter back saying the points would be added on, yet my friend got a rather snotty letter saying that they would do it but they wouldn't again in the future as they feel 2 years is long enough.
However, as I speak I still haven't had my points re-credited for the ones I sent in May. A few days after the letter you can normally see the points on your balance but this didn't happen this time. After a few weeks I rang them up and they said there was a new system and I wouldn't see the points added back to my balance but they would definately issue new ones in the August mailing. I've just had the August mailing and they weren't in there so at the moment they are looking into it - so I recommend you keep an eye on your balance to make sure the points do get added back on.0
