Expired Tesco vouchers

If you've got points that are close to expiring, then there is a way to get them re-issued, so you've got another two years validity.

First thing to do is to select something from the Tesco deals web-site, and go through the ordering process. Enter all your expiring codes, but make sure that one of them is registered to someone else at a different address (i.e. get a friend/family member to "lend you a code"). This means that the order gets blocked, and doesn't go through.

You'll be emailed a number to call, and when you explain that you were trying to pool vouchers with a friend to buy something, they'll tell you that you can't do it. Just say that you'll have to wait until the next set of clubcard points are issued to order what you want, and they'll re-credit the points to the clubcard accounts (so both you and your friend/family member don't lose anything). The next time the vouchers are sent out, you'll get all these points back with 2 years validity left on them!

I know this doesn't help Useless with his/her current problem, but it'll help you avoid it in the future.

Well, between house moves, having kids etc I also found a few expired vouchers which I had planned on sending in...and I'm no serial abuser of deals vouchers.

OP, did you send them in or have you rung them and been told this? Mine don't amount to much and I've certainly not sent in any expired vouchers previously.

I phoned and was told. and I have never sent expired vouchers before.

I found a £15 voucher due to expire on 31 aug 09 at the weekend, I changed some of it instore to double up clothes which I used with my DM clothing moc and the rest will get credited to my November statement - saves me ringing and asking to get recredited and saved me in store on the clothing. When you double up they are valid for 3 months.

Last month I found some May 09 vouchers and November 08 vouchers that I had not used  I spoke to avery nice man who said he would try but it is not up to the telephone operators if the vouchers are recredited. When I got my statement it looks like I have got back the May points but not the older November ones. I think they may have a 3 months rule when deciding whether to recredited points.

I've been saving my clubcard vouchers and yesterday I realised that £17 worth expired on 28/2/2010. I'm really cross with myself.

Has anyone successfully had them re-credited?

Just ring them on the freephone number (for clubacard deals) and they will credit them back to your account. Same happened to me and they did!

You don't even need to be nice. They will do it anyway! I rang them about something else and he said that I had an used voucher from long time ago (that I had forgotten about) and could he credit it back to my account!
