Expired Tesco vouchers

apparently the rules changed last quarter due to people abusing the system and you can't convert old vouchers back anymore.
someone please help! I have so many that have expired...
pretty gutting start to the day!0 -
I had a clubcard voucher for £5.00 that expired in May 2009 and was about to throw it out after reading the other posts but..I have just used it on the tesco web site to order £20 of days out vouchers and it was accepted!!:T0

the vouchers are valid for 2yrs, so if you havent found anything to spend them on in that time, you obviously havent had a need for them, so why get upset now the rules have changed?
The rules have always been once they have expired, they cant be recredited, but tesco allowed most people the benefit of the doubt at least once

Thank you, I will try this also. I think it's such a shame that when I posted about this on another thread, I got a completely unhelpful snide reply, shame for mse0 -
so your needs have suddenly changed, and you are able to use them now? Even if you werent able to use them on deals because nothing appealed, im sure you would have used tesco in the last 2 years, or did food shopping slip your mind also?
Also if you were stockpiling them for a set reason, most people think to keep tabs on how much they have accrued, so again, you would know they were expiring
you seem to be keyed up on the fact tesco used to recredit vouchers, so based on that, one would assume that you know how clubcard works, in that they are only valid for 2yrs

I came on here asking for help - not abuse
need I say more0 -
the question was not "should I have known they were expiring"
but whether there was anything to do in the circumstance
such a shame you really need a life!0 -
I don't think there's anything you could do. You could try calling them again and seeing if you get someone else... You could also claim you've lost them. Other than that all I can suggest is that unfortunately on this occassion you've lost them :-(
Unless (and I don't know if this applies) If you had actually moved and not received any of your mailings from tesco or used any vouchers etc, calling them, explaining this and giving your new address may prompt them to issue you new vouchers.Bump due 22nd September0 -
thank you for your suggestions :T0

Well, between house moves, having kids etc I also found a few expired vouchers which I had planned on sending in...and I'm no serial abuser of deals vouchers.
OP, did you send them in or have you rung them and been told this? Mine don't amount to much and I've certainly not sent in any expired vouchers previously.0
