Expired Tesco vouchers

You send your vouchers back to Tesco and they will add them to the next mailing. What you have been told is correct - they don't reissue the same vouchers, but you'll get the credit added to the next lot of vouchers you receive. I've done this twice and it works great. Just send your vouchers by recorded or registered delivery though.0

I just phoned Tesco and they said I couldn't extend my vouchers as Tesco consider two years is long enough to decide what you want to do with them. Some of mine expire in Aug this year.
After reading what millie_17 said (thank you millie) I phoned Tesco again and spoke to someone else and he was a lot more helpful. He said all I had to do was give him the voucher numbers and amounts over the telephone and he would convert them back to points and they will be re-issued to me in the next bunch that are due out in May. He also said he had a complete record of all the vouchers I have so they know exactly what you are supposed to have. New vouchers are now on their way to me. Yippee!!0 -
I have also recently had vouchers expiring and as I am also trying to save for a holiday I telephoned to ask if they could re-issued, the chap had my info on screen and said it was no problem and they would arrive with the next mailing so its worth phoning again and hopefully you'll get a helpful one or if not say a friend has told you they had their vouchers re-issued why can't you, worth a try.0

In my shell.....had the vouchers actually expired..or were just near to expiry?
If they had already expired, wait a week and call back and ask if the vouchers had been credited back to your account. I suspect you will find they hadn't been, then the csa will express surprise and will tell you they will do it now for you......and the cycle continues.Herman - MP for all!

...I was told the points would be put back on to my account automatically...it never happened... the points were not on the next statement, I phoned and was told they would be added manually to my next statement...they did not appear on that either !! It was only a £6 deal voucher I had returned( it had not expired) but as I was saving for a holiday and this was the only one due to expire( I had used all the others with the same expiry date on for a ferry crossing)....after several phone calls I finally got through to someone who told me never to send them back again as they do not re-issue vouchers or credit points...still I managed to have enough for my holiday last September to Malta booked with Cosmos ...the flight was delayed and Air Malta gave me 2 return flights as compensation...so yesterday booked again this time with Cadogan, got a very good deal...they will take deal vouchers for the hotel, well worth knowing( Cosmos won't, they don't do hotel only , just the package and they work out the cost from the brochure not any discounted offer they have available)I have this morning been told by a manager than expired vouchers will NOT be re-issued.
I have had an ongoing problem with my clubcard account since last year and each time I have phoned the helpline I have been told that my (newly) expired vouchers will be cancelled and re-issued in the next mailing. EVERY csa I have spoken to (MANY!) has told me this can be done as long as you ask within 3 months of the expiry date.
Several of my vouchers which have been re-issued have not shown up in my points balance, so yet again, a csa manually cancelled and re-issued them. It has taken 8 weeks to finally get a manager to explain that Head Office sent a memo last year stating that expired vouchers wil not be re-issued. It doesn't matter what the csa says or does, the computer will pick up on the expired date and wont process the re-issue request. He admitted that there are csa's who are still working under the old policy and are telling people they can be re-issued when they can't and that's where my points balance discrepancy occurred
I've written to HO with an offical complaint as I am more than a little annoyed about being misled and also because I have now lost out on vouchers which would have got me £300 worth of deals.
So if you have vouchers nearing expiry....phone now to get them re-issued. If you have expired vouchers...you've lost them.0 -

I don't think you can do anything about it, I had £30 worth of vouchers for days out / restaurants etc which expired and I am sure they told me I couldn't do anything with them. That was a while ago now but I don't think they have changed the rules.0 -
Send it with a letter asking if it can be recredited or reissued. They may do it or may not as it has been expired for sometime. Worth writing a letter to try them otherwise all you can do is bin it.:j Trytryagain FLYLADY - SAYE £700 each month Premium Bonds £713 Mortgage Was £100,000@20/6/08 now zilch 21/4/15:beer: WTL - 52 (I'll do it 4 MUM)0
