Have you turned your heating on yet?

My house is still warm enough inside without having to resort to switching the heating on just yet its a bit cooler upstairs but not enough to warrent rads being switched on. Im holding out as long as possible to save on huge bills.Sometimes i like to imagine that im living on the breadline as a single mum with 3 children to feed and clothe, bills to pay and very little time to myself........ then i wake up and realise im a princess with prince charming by my side and a lovely white castle........ oh wait

No not yet. It's not that cold here yet. I really feel the cold but we are still sleeping with the window open.
I dont care what the weather when im tucked up snuggly and warm and my bedroom window is open 24/7 365....Ive got to be able to breathe clean fresh cold air, cant sleep in a stuffy room, need ventilation , plus you dont get horrible bedroom smells like you do with the windows always shut up..
As for the heating on , no not yet the temp hasnt been under 21 degrees during the day since spring, we are lucky with the weather in East Anglia...:D0 -
I'm not thinking of putting the heating on yet, hoping to get to end of October before we have to. But its definitely a lot cooler here today than it previously has been, and I'm considering getting my socks and boots out for work! The fleece blankets will be getting used on the sofas to help keep us cosy in the house til bedtime (upstairs in this house never really gets cold until Winter).0

I put mine on this evening just to take the chill of while DD had her bath, it was bloomin cold upstairs, not so bad downstairs. Thermostat was set to 20, it's just switched off.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0

Nope, not on here yet.
Condensation on the inside of the windows when we woke up this morning for the first time, and thermostat was reading 17 degrees.
Was cold earlier ths evening b ut I now have my blanket on my knee and shawl round my shoulders. I look like granny grunt at 30 years old :rotfl: Must be cold as DH has put a jumper on!
3 years ago, not many of us would have sat here cold, too afraid to put the heating on for the bills. Our DD (direct debit that is, not darling daughter lol) is already £88 a month - we simply can't afford anymore - there's nothing left to cut back on
