One reckons the Compy Cheque was in vision all along.
Freddie, since you asked (me?) a specific question, I will give you an answer.
I felt there was no need for the picture. However, would I say it was argumentative? No, I wouldn't.
I also feel there was no need for your last comment above and it's those type of comments that I believe are provocative and argumentative.
I should just also add that in no way was I directing my comments soley to you, I do think some of your posts have been unnecessary (and unkind considering you know nothing about these people) on this thread but you're by far not the only one who posted in this manner so I apologise if I gave the impression I hold you responsible for all that is wrong with this thread.Herman - MP for all!0 -
I agree. It's one thing offering an alternative opinion but this is not helpful in any way and spoils an otherwise interesting discussion.
It's a shame people use these types of threads to air their argumentative side, it serves no purpose and their comments don't add anything useful.
Sorry, don't mean to be unkind to anyone but the childishness and snippy comments are becoming tedious.
Just keep hitting the abuse button. There were a few of his posts removed fro
This thread yesterday thankfully. To be honest with the amount of times I have hit the abuse button with Freddie I'm amazed he isn't ppr'd yet. It can surely only be a matter of time.0 -
As I said in #331, I wonder if Freddie is just abusive to MSE'ers, or whether he is as abrasive towards his Beaver Scouts, Leaders & parents?.Never Knowingly Understood.

As a warranted Guider myself Patman i have to say I wondered.
I don't think anyone here wants this board to turn into a forum where everyone panders to an OP and agrees with them, but certain people need to realise that it is possible to put forward concise arguments without resorting to patronism, sarcasm and abuse.
At the top of this site it says "Be nice to all moneysavers". That is the motto of this site. Patronism, sarcasm and abuse are not at all examples of this.
I have commented through the abuse button that this section of forums desperately needs a moderation team that are here to remove the likes of Freddie (and the late Sandovals) posts as soon as possible after they appear.
Until that happens, as I say keep hitting that abuse button.0 -
Wow is this thread still going?!
So any update with the police yet or has the thread turned in to an argumentative nature!0 -
I found that Freddie's posts to be amusing and a welcome break from people posting ridiculous law comparisions such as likening this to a case involving Kuwait Airways vs Iraq Airways.
Maybe I just took them in the manner in which they were intended and not as some sort of personal attack on the OP though. A lot of people really just need to chill out.0 -
No update as yet.
Unfortunately.
I would love to know what is happening.
I think there are quite a few people who would like to know what is happening.
However, the OP did say on Saturday:I'll pop back when there's an update.
As we've not heard anything from the OP YET, I'm assuming that she either hasn't any news to update us with (for whatever reason) or she's been too busy to post.0 -

If you read (and understand) the OP's first post, she makes it clear (at least to me) that she wasn't present at the time the ipod was lost then found then stolen.
Here is what she says:My young grandson was in JJB with his dad trying on trainers and unfortunately left his ipod there. They went back to the shop as soon as they realised, about an hour later.
So therefore it's clear (at least to me) that she is repeating what her son has told her actually happened.Freddie_Snowbits wrote: »Then again in an internet forum, if one does not want their dirty washing talked about, one should not seek advise.
You haven't actually provided any advice, though.
You've just arsed about, talking about balls being thrown into gardens and generally make yourself look silly.0
