  • Looks like only the pink ones are really selling on ebay.
...and then the window licker said to me...
  • I've only just merged the two threads that were running about this offer so sorry if at times it seems a bit disjointed :)

I understand that this is a month to month contract but can you actually cancel after the 1st month and keep the phone or will they ask for the phone back ?

    I asked this question.

The answer was that if you cancel in the first month or two they would prob ask for the phone back.

However, I dont see how they could be entitled to. There's no contract beyond a month, and the invoice you get with it shows the £2.99 as the cost of the phone, not the p+p, so effectively, you have purchased the phone.

Having said that, they dont expect people will cancel, as it is a good deal!

Called the 0800 number about 1:30 pm this afternoon, recorded message said hour wait, but got through in seconds?? I didn't have an ntl bill on me, so I told them I'd have to hang up and call ntl to get my account number. Fairplay the guy offered to call me back in 10 minutes - and he did.

YOU CAN HAVE 2 OF THESE DEALS PER NTL/TELEWEST ACCOUNT

I was calling for the £10 for 300mins 300texts offer for my girflfriend as it makes more sense than PAYG. She has a nice Nokia phone, but I thought I may aswell have the Lobster for £2.99 delivery.

Once I have the new SIM, I can get the PAC code from her Orange PAYG and call Virgin to port the number.
  • Hi All, this Virgin offer £ 10, if i have a Nokia 6030i, and a Motorola V3, get them unlocked, can i use the Virgin sim card in either phone?
And can they give you your existing number as they say they can?
    Cheers Derek

    You CAN get the phone...

NTL/Telewest customer who have all 3 services (TV, BB and Fixed Telephone) will be offered the NTL Pay monthly deal of 300mins/300texts at £10 per month plus a Virgin Lobster 575 handset in Black or Pink
for an additional one off payment of £2.99 (to cover postage)

For people with 2 services it's £29.99 for the phone, one off charge, if you want it.

The phone is normally £49.99 hence anyone with 3 services getting this £10 monthly virgin mobile plan might as well pay the once-off £2.99 for a phone worth nearly £50 anyways.

I just ordered mine, WITH the phone for £2.99. All kosher

    Not a great start....

I received my SIM card today but it was the wrong SIM.

The SIM has the wrong mobile number compared to the one that was on my e-mail and online account (it was off by a digit). It was actually someone else's SIM. I didn't know this until I phoned up to port my old number and found out I wasn't the account holder of that number.

This is a terrible mistake from Virgin - I could be using someone else's credit, and someone else could be using mines. Anyway, they're sending a replacement SIM and barred the other SIM card.

Another few days wait for delivery..... fingers crossed!!

Make sure you double check this, if it's wrong, phone 789 from the virgin SIM (calls cost a flat rate of 10p) - looks like I spent someone else's 10p - eeek!
